The Opportunist
Last evening gospel recording artist Kirk Franklin was a guest on the Monique Show to discuss his relief efforts in Haiti. Kirk spoke about the devastation in Haiti and how we all should take Haitian victims into our homes because they have no place to live. One should question how many Haitian victims he has taken in (side eye). Kirk seems to be just another opportunist that is exploiting this tragedy as a way of resurfacing back in the public eye seeing that his popularity and public presence is dwindling. A true preacher of the Gospel of Jesus should be more concerned about standing up for God to those positioned directly in front of them (Monique) rather than the relief of a foreign land. Haitians need help and so does Monique. Why are these church folks ignoring her soul for the sake of their own promotion?
The saddest part of this interview was a point where Monique referred to God as “that thang up there”(gasp), of which Kirk never corrected or questioned this, but laughed it off. This should not come as a surprise to anyone.Monique’s show is an opportunity to promote oneself, not God, so in the end, God gets demoted and the artists get promoted! This is opportunistic mindset (1 Kings Chap 1) that is being accepted in the body of Christ, and fast becoming the in thing to do when you desire to resurface into the public eye. Kirk Franklin used his detainment in Uganda to get youtube hits, and now is using the tragedy of Haiti to get TV time. I’m sure this is all a ploy to stay relevant, at least until the 3rd season of “Sundays Mess” premiers.

If anyone is still defending Kirk Franklin, Mary, Mary, etc, let this be a lesson: they are NOT IN CHRIST: they never have been. If they repent and come into Christ, they would testify of the Truth, and their deeds will actually line up in obedience: for a good tree cannot produce evil fruit, and vice versa.
Be Blessed EX Ministries! Between your ministry, these are the the last two REAL ministries that know of, that are truly keeping Yeshua’s commands, and teaching others to do so. As such, finish your work, that you might be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. Do not follow after these pretenders and children of perdition, lest you be case into the Lake of Fire.

Tell me this? What do we expect from GAY gospel singers/Pastors? Do we really expect them to be Holy? Do we really expect them to have the love of Jesus? Do we really expect them to have the Anointing? Remember ppl the devil fool 1/3 of the angels IN Heaven to follow him. In the African and Indian set-up, sitting on a lady’s lap and kissing her publicly openly declares that you can do much more in closed doors.Immorality is done in secret, but this to us is a sure sign of one of its kind done openly.
Most African churches imitate American gopel artists, pastors e.t.c. It will be no wonder to begin seeing this kind of behavior in our youth churches…you know, like holy french kissing and holy public cuddling.

The picture above gives a clear understanding of the meaning” the Church embracing the world”. Sitting on her lap, o.k, I know he is small but since he is a wolf in the church, he can’t help but do be himself. The higher majority of the church have now accepted that Jesus is not the only way which is a pure heresey. John 14:6 is very clear and i would love to line them up and start slapping folks upside their heads to wake up from their fantasy and remember that heaven and hell are real places and Jesus and satan are real. I think the church have forgotten that we worship by faith in Christ Jesus. Pastor G. Craige thanks a lot for your ministry. I wish you were here in san diego. Even T.D jakes claims that God is a product on his interview, are you kidding me. The world don’t want to hear the true believers because of these foolish men that are after their own pocket. If they say that they are after God’s heart, ask them if God took all their riches away, will they still love Him and worship Him the same, if their answer is yes, they are lying. Their hearts are full of greed that is why they can preach about some dumb stuff that have nothing to do with God but their idealogy of what God is to them.

It just seems that we as black folks: “IN CHURCH ON TV” we go too far with how we do things in this life, and how we show others how we suppose to be. Look at all the black entertainment Ms. Temeka, everything we do has to cater to the flesh so much tell its not even flesh, it’s SKELETON!! LOL!! You see what Im sayin. I know TBN has all races doing crazy things on TV and other christian brodcasting but when it comes to us as black folks, I can see God looking at us like “why did I make them black!?” Please don’t take me out of context I love to laugh when it’s funny.

I know what you mean. It seems that the element of provoking true worship is absent from many of our black gospel recording artists. There’s too many antics and acrobatics onstage, not to mention, flash, and it gets in the way of a true worshipper seeing the glory of God in your singing and/or playing. As I type this, the Holy Spriit reminds me, “It’s all about character.” We need to be seeking to more truthfully reflect the nature and character of Christ in EVERYTHING, including our music and expounding of the Word; but a lot of what we see on TV and hear on radio is totally misrepresentative of it.

One who seeks fame and fortune has no character. The mere fact that these are the things they seek after make it evident that character is missing. After all, if you have character, then you don’t need fame or fortune to validate you. Your character will.
Would you rather have people love what they don’t know about you or would you rather have people that know you love what they know about you? Character is the latter and these recording artists choose the opposite.

According to this video, Kirk said that ” Every gospel artist and pastors will be held accountable before God.’ Also he said that the judgement will start from the church.” Well kirk is right. He will be held accountable before God for not ministering to Monique if he doesn’t confess his sin. But the thing is how can kirk preach a good message in that video and still blend in with the secular.
There should of been a prayer of confession going on in that service…. My prayer goes out to kirk.

Does this surprise anyone? Kirk is finished! He is a glorified choir director that should have never been in the public eye. He should have been in the background writing music because he can’t sing, he can’t preach, nor can he even speak without studdering! When he is on stage, he is like a gospel flava flav, hyping the crowd and dancing provocatively. HE HAS NOTHING TO DO ON STAGE BUT HYPE THE CROWD AND DANCE? And church folks used to like it, but now it’s played out. And now Tye, Tonex, James Fortune, and other YOUNG artists have stolen his thunder and maximized his so called craft because they are more talented, more relevant, and can actually sing and preach, and can get away with things that Kirk couldn’t.
Kirk is a steak well done and is about to get eaten up. He has nothing to carry him through the next phase of his life because he is irrelevant and his antics are outdated. He is on the down swing of his career and no one cares to even show up to concerts and events that he is headlining. The thing he feared the most has come upon him and his superstar is fading. This is why he clowns on TBN, Monique, and BET. He wants so badly to be relevant and he will probably have sex with a chicken if he knew it could keep people wanting to meet him. He is yesterdays news and trying his best to be todays. He wants to be a big shot, but little shot is catching him fast! Poor Kirk.
He needs to repent for degrading gospel music and bringing it to it’s knees. He needs to repent for lying about his issues and not telling the whole truth. He needs to repent and seek God. Maybe he can be forgiven. You see, this is payment for what he has done. He brought the world into the church’s music. He brought club dancing into the church youth groups. He made it okay to dance like the world, sing like the world, perform like the world, and still be saved. He payment for these things is his worst nightmare. NO LONGER BEING RELEVANT. The time is coming when he will be begging for attention and no one will give it to him. That day is drawing near. And that’s what he deserves. Like G. Craig said in his book, Kirk and TD Jakes have messed this thing up. Jakes jacked up the preachers and Kirk jacked up the music! They will pay.

The saddest part is the night before (I believe it was) she made a declaration to the Homo/lesbian community, that Atlanta is offically the gayest city in America. Have you ever wondered why a Christians can fit in so good with the world and not seem uncomfortable as it was when Kirk Franklin appeared on Monique program? Because both of them share the same spirit and that is THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD, this gospel singer has been struggling with this spirit for a long time. That is why he can do worldly dances when he performs and think nothing about, and be on the same page with people who aren’t saved when he goes on these talk programs. Like someone stated before I personally believe that he struggles with his sexuality, his self esteem and really as to who he is, that’s why he didnt stand up for Jesus and correct Monique they are on the same page Worldly. The cake is the same any way that you cut it, every piece or slice is the same worldly, and this what people like him is dishing out. The scripture clearly says that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit will lift up a standard against him, where was the standard being lifted up for Jesus, no this is about being accepted and making people like you, and its shame, when he could be a great witness for the cause of Christ.

It’s seems that either we’re too comfortable with the world or the world is too comfortable with us–which is it? For neither should agree with the other. Jesus said, “Marvel not if the world HATE you…” but it doesn’t look like she’s “hatin,” but “lovin’” him sitting in her lap and planting a kiss on the cheeks! They’re probably just trying to have fun and all, but there is a limit for Christians in how far we are to go with our fun. I’m not sure if this is a good example for us here…

Ooooooh, I knew it, I knew it! DID YOU SEE THAT?? Just by happenstance I caught the Monique show last night — I’m usually watching news at that time — and I said to myself, this story is gonna get blown up on the EX Times blog.
First of all, why is this supposedly “ambassador for Christ” hopping up on this woman’s lap with all her cleavage smack dab in his face?? But then when you’re dealing with “familiar spirits”, you get comfortable like that. Quite frankly, I think Kirk is still struggling with sex and lust issues; and Monique is as FREAKY as they come, baaby!! You ever notice how she grabs and hug on men; it’s like she’s in heat. But when you’re married to a latent homosexual –yeah, he “SUSPECT” to — that spirit causes one to take on a life of debauchery.
…and when she made that flaky, disrespectful gesture, referring to God as, “jehovah, god or whatever…??”, that should have been Kirk’s queue to say hey, wait a minute baaby!! (use her vernacular), let me make this clear right now about who my Lord and Savior is!! I’m telling you they don’t care anymore, ya’ll. It’s all about entertainment, them trying to promote and uplift themselves. It’s like you guys said, some of it is a ploy to stay “relevant” until their next CD sell$$.
To all you jelly-back, professed Christian Artist HYPOCRITES, when are you gonna stand up with boldness and get angry like young David in the bible did when he saw that Goliath had NO RESPECT for the God of Israel; it vexed David’s spirit!!: He said, who is this”UNCIRCUMCISED PHILISTINE” (who does Monique think she is?!?!) that he/she should defy the armies of the living God”. WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS CHURCH??
These talk show host have absolutely no RESPECT, NO REGARD AT ALL for the God we serve. And if you gospel artist insist on gracing this ‘Philistines’ stage then at least give Jesus a quick shout out!!

i agree with jason. if i am a true woman or man of god, either i will come on the show and keep it real with the host by correcting them when they use profanity,etc or i will not accept the invitation if the staff tells me that i can’t use god’s name,correct them when they are wrong or witness to them so that they can give their lives to christ!!!!!!!!it’s time out for self promotion!!!!it grieves my heart to see these people that claim to be true men and women of god compromising the gospel so that they can become famous!!!!! we must pray like never before against the spirit of compromise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is as though Mo’Nique is the catalyst for diffusing the so-called “ministry” most popular so-called “Christian” leaders and artists…notice how all the “who’s who and who dat” folks in “gospel” are sitting on her couch? It’s a shame before GOD, yet to us who know HIM, it’s a blessing: Most of these folks were not hidden to os as lukewarm, we knew that. What is surprising is NOT one of these folks have even attempted to correct her stance on the church or GOD: Is that coincidence?? I think not: Her staff knows exactly what they are doing.
