Office of Senior Pastor Frederick Price Jr.
For Immediate Release August 10, 2010
Why The Church Needs To Stand With G. Craige Lewis – by: Frederick Price Jr. There has been quite an uproar regarding Exministries founder G. Craige Lewis and his opposing view of Hip Hop in the church. It has caused somewhat of a debate amongst laypeople, while the leadership for the most part has been silent on the subject. I felt it of necessity, as not just a leader in the body of Christ but also as one who once had Hip Hop infused in some of my sermons, to be vocal about where I believe the church should be standing regarding this subject. But first a little history: On August 31st, 2003 our church had our very first Hip Hop Sunday. At the time I was not pastor so of course it had to be approved by the current pastor which happened to be my father, Dr. Frederick K.C. Price. His only concern was the nature of what I wanted to do on that Sunday (mind you my dad knows nothing and cares nothing about Hip Hop), and upon me telling him that information he gave me the green light. My purpose was to inform the congregation (parents especially), of the reasons why their young people were so enthralled and engrossed with this movement. I felt I was qualified because of the music I often listened to and the emergence of the culture at that time. So every aspect of the
service was influenced by Hip Hop, from the worship, to the attire, to the word. The end result: a successful service in the natural based on attendance and parishioner response. God was glorified, Jesus was exalted, and The Holy Spirit was present. It appeared we were on to something so we continued it the next Sunday and then declared that every 5th Sunday (there are about 4 a year) would no longer be “Youth Sunday” but would now be “Hip Hop Sunday”. Now mind you the dome was built to hold 10,000 people, however on Sundays we averaged 4500-5000 people only. The first Hip Hop Sunday brought in 7200 people and every one after would go on to be the most attended Sundays in the span of two years. Based on those stats I just knew we as a church were doing the right thing.
After the second Hip Hop Sunday my sister Cheryl told me about a DVD a friend of her’s gave her with some guy on it speaking
against Hip Hop. My first thought was, “this dude is a hater”, mind you I hadn’t heard him yet. I was in her office another time and she had the DVD in her possession so I told her to play it. The part where he was speaking on Bone Thugs in Harmony was on and after about 3 minutes I cut it off and stuck with my unfair judgment, “this dude is hatin’, he just doesn’t get it”. And after people had for years listened to a portion of my father’s messages and judged him the same way, when I look back on it I can’t believe I judged Elder Lewis the same way.
It would be another year before a member at our church told me about “The Truth Behind Hip Hop part II – Exodus into Egypt”, Elder Lewis’ next teaching on the subject of Hip Hop. The member said, “Pastor have you heard G. Craige’s new teaching”, I said no I haven’t; he said “it’s deep man, and I think he’s talking about our Hip Hop service although he doesn’t say your name”. We agreed he’d let me borrow it and he’d bring it to me that Sunday. I got home from church, put it in the DVD player, sat back and watched. I honestly had to agree with everything he was saying, but of course when he got to the part about me I was pissed, heated, and livid. I felt he was judging me based on his opinion of Hip Hop, not concrete truth. I did, however, wonder why he didn’t mention my father’s or my name, since he mentioned everyone else. Nevertheless I proceeded to pause the DVD, look on the back of the case, I went online to his website, I did everything I could to contact this man. I left 2 voice messages and sent 2 emails before I watched the rest of the DVD. I had to voice my anger and stress how we needed to talk. Two days
later he responded to my email most generously. We communicated a bit, he said he understood what I was trying to do to reach the youth but knew some things about Hip Hop that he believed would change my view. He was coming to LA the next month and we agreed to meet. When we did there was only an exchange of the Love of God, we had great fellowship, a great meal, and he was able to share with my personally his respect for my father, and even went on to minister to me about the direction of the ministry God would have for me in the years to come. Something in me said I needed to invite him to minister but I let 101 excuses prevent me from doing so. After his departure we would text occasionally, but it would be another 5 years before we spoke again. Over that five years, we no longer had Hip Hop Sunday, mainly because I hated the name, but the words of Elder Lewis still rang in my mind. I knew we still needed youth Sunday, so I renamed it the Blueprint but still continued to do most of the things we were previously doing. I also wasn’t sure if Elder Lewis’ statement about Hip Hop being a religion was fact or opinion.
In November of 2008, my father announced to the church I would be pastor in march of 2009, my 30th birthday. So at the beginning
of 2009 I ended the Blueprint. I was tired of the gimmicks, tired of not allowing the Word and the Spirit to draw the people, tired of the fads that fill up Hip Hop. Just like the songs, dances, slang, and clothing that continuously get old in Hip Hop, so did our service get old to the youth, on top of that I had nothing else to say about the subject. It wasn’t until the end of the year that I reached out to Elder now Pastor Lewis again mainly because of a daily EX word a member of ours forwarded to me about the VH1 Hip Hop Honors and how pastors use Hip Hop in their churches to reach the youth. I was confused, I didn’t understand why I was included in the list when Hip Hop was no longer apart of our ministry. After I finally reached him it was concluded that my being included in that list was partially due to a misunderstanding but also because of while yes I had removed Hip Hop Sunday from the church, I had remained silent on the subject, and it’s a fact that sometimes silence speaks in a voice that overpowers yelling at its highest decibels. Most of my silence was due to, once again, wondering whether Hip Hop being a religion was fact or opinion. Well in December of ’09 I got a hold of “The Gospel of Hip Hop” by KRS-1 and that did it. Now some of you may be thinking Pastor Lewis had long brought that up in his lessons previously, but you have to remember there was a five year lapse in contact between Pastor and I, plus I hadn’t been checking his website nor had I seen TTBHH parts 4 and 5. Regardless this has been my journey since ’03 to where I stand now.
Now I know that was a lot to digest but I felt it necessary to tell you all that to bring you up to why I’m where I am now regarding Hip Hop. Here’s what I know, not believe, but know: Hip Hop is not of God and should not be used in the church as a way to reach any generation. Aw man I can hear people that know me saying, “but pastor what about all you did regarding Hip Hop?”, well that’s where it is, in the past. If I knew what I know now I never would’ve began it in the first place. And I know wholeheartedly that God used Pastor G. Craige Lewis as the catalyst to get that revelation to me. Now when I did the podcast with Pastor Lewis at the beginning of the year, I was humbled by the comments received but there was one I recalled in which the individual said, I needed to go apologize to my congregation for bringing Hip Hop in our church and what about the people that didn’t come to know Jesus on those days. Well my response to that person and persons of the like is this: I don’t feel bad about the average of 30 people that responded to the invitation on those particular Sundays. Why? Because in my heart and in our display of worship, we were giving it all to the God of the Bible, the One who sent His son Jesus to die for our sins, so while I wish I could go back and not do Hip Hop in the church, I don’t wish to go back and not see lives changed because, not false pagan gods, but Christ was preached. Also most people just didn’t like the music young people were listening to, they had no revelation from God about the subject; it wasn’t until Pastor Lewis taught the subject with power and authority and actual researched facts that those like myself began to listen. Let me say it again, Hip Hop is not of God. I equate it to the New Age movement but with an urban twist. New Age is a belief system that incorporates many religious tenets. Well Hip Hop does the same, it’s a way of life and we as Christians can’t live Hip Hop and live
Christlike, it’s one or the other. I’m not writing this to lose friends or gain them, I’m writing this because I feel I need to. I’m not coming against any person, group, or ministry. I mean Pastor Lewis has spoken or written on individuals that I personally know, some close associates of mine. But regarding this subject matter, right is right. I believe we all should thank God for this man because he’s doing the job that many of us know we should be doing but some of us are afraid to. The truth hurts and nothing that opposes God can be used to glorify God, plus we the church do not need approval from the world. The world does not need to be befriended, they need to be ministered to, then those who become believers need to be fed the milk, bread, and meat of the Word. We don’t need to get in league with the world to deliver the Word to God’s people, that’s an oxymoron and just plain stupid. We all who hold leadership positions need to interrogate every inch of our ministries just to make sure everything about them is upright. In no way am I saying I’m perfect, I may still be doing some things in ministry that could be categorized as carnal but in no way is that my intention. Instead of bad mouthing this man of God, let’s get behind him and encourage him in “his” assignment, remember it’s not yours it’s his. I thank God he’s exposing what’s he’s exposing and I’m excited he’s coming to minister at our church next year. Christian rappers need to be informed that what they do is not Hip Hop, it’s hope music. Music that brings the message of hope, belief, and faith in Christ. If I stand alone then I stand alone, but this man’s ministry has been prophetic and on point, and I stand with him 100%.

humility goes a long way. Mr. Price, you have blessed me with your testimony and please keep up what you are also doing for the kingdom of GOD. your words are not lost with me.
I am so grateful that I looked at this testimony. I remember when I first heard about Pastor Price Jr. having Hip-Hop Sundays, wondering if he had listened to the TTBHH series. I know what it did for me when I heard it and I knew what it would do if it got into the eargates of influential Pastors like Pastor Price Jr. and others.
Pastor Lewis your ministry has blessed many in Chicago, Il. which is where I live. I have had the privilege of being in some of your meetings and thank God for the deliverance and understanding that so many ‘Christian’ youth and adults received. I pray that you will continue to stand for Truth, which should be the language of the church, universal. Thank you Pastor Price and Pastor Lewis for leading this 21st Century church back on course!
Reading this brings me in the mind of other ways of mixing the world with the church, i.e. Tyler Perry movies, plays, and etc. For years I thought it was okay to watch his plays and movies because, so called, Christian based despite him cross dressing which I knew was wrong. I thought to myself I could get something godly out of it if I just overlook his dressing as a women. Besides, he is not doing it as a personal life style just as a character right? I love the fact that I was able to laugh at a lot of his jokes and senseless behavior because again, there were just for entertainment. For years I kept deceiving myself into thinking that it was okay, especially after seeing an interview he was on about how people keep criticizing him about how it’s not right to cross dress and his way of leading people to God. I remember hearing him say that they don’t have the platform that he do. Wow, I thought to myself. I wasn’t exactly sure how to take that. It has been extremely depressing to see this so called Christian man who said that for his second movie that it was a cursing free area. Which brings me to the last movie he did that came out called “Madea’s Big Happy Family”. Was it just me or did I see a movie that was supposed to be Christian based that had waayy too much cursing, lusting, your typical secular movie settings? I must say I cried inside through out the entire movie. Not because it was a sad movie but because I witness Tyler, dare I say it, continually lower himself to be more and more like the world in order to try to so called reach the world for Christ.
Pastor Price, it takes a true man of God to admit his errors and to openly turn from them. You are an awesome minister and I thank you for that. Also I am excited about Pastor Lewis’ “Truth” messages going around the world. Thank you both for keeping the ONLY TRUE GOD number 1!
I was glad to read this article. My church partners with CCC and when I first found out as a young adult that CCC was having hip hop serrvices I asked my Pastor what’s up with that. I couldnt understand why we would be affiliated with something that was teaching ungodly worship. I had saw Pastor Lewis’ message live a year earlier. I was also confused since Dr. Price Sr. is so sound in the WORD. I guess we all have to grow in the WORD and I am glad that this was corrected. It is so easy to reach people when you cater to their flesh. However we keep people when we minister to their Spirit.
On another note, it looks like Price, Jr. endorses G Craig Lewis. I agree with him on the hip hop stuff, but I do not agree with his approach to ministers. I say educate us on what is going on without all of the negativity with it and if you are to educate have real facts and only so we can pray. I believe Pastor Lewis original intent was to educate but crazy people on here have turned this into a bashing site.
Overall, I deeply appreciate learning the truth about hip hop. It has taught me not to mix with the world even if it is for God, but to stay standing on truth. Therefore, instead of exposing the bad, I pray for it and I live my life in such a transparent way that God get all the glory.
If we all focus on getting ourselves sound in the Word maybe be would overpower the few people being put in blast. The light of the world will over power darkness. So let’s bring up our light.
I am so thankful for this ministry! I was stunned seeing Pastor Price reporting on gaga. I watched it and sent it to my sister and said, you gotta watch this. The revelation that God revealed to you was incredible. God is really raising up generals. Thanks Pastor Craig and Pastor Price! Many blessings and may God continue to over-flow in your lives and in your families.
I’m glad that Pastor Price got out of the darkness and came to the light on this matter. Thanks G. Craige Lewis for your ministry!!!
Thank you God for servant Ihave been blessed by pastor Lewis’message, and I sure that our Lord is working hard in these last days through his people to save losts and we are standing to be used by Him it’s not only Pastor Lewis’ assignment but as christians we have to know about the truth behind all those things and break the silence.
be blessed all of you!
First I would like to thank GOD for putting G Craig Lewis in my life. About six months ago a co-worker and I had a conversation about Demonic symbols. She then begins to speak about Elder Lewis teachings that I did not know or hear of at that time. She told me she had his DVDs the Truth behind Hip VOL 1- 4 and would lend them to me to watch.
20 minutes into Volume 1, I was ready to turn it off. I was in denial because all I ever listen to was Hip Hop most of my life. After watching and researching his teachings I got rid of all of my Hip Hop and RB cds and cassette tapes which I have been collecting since the 80’s. I have gotten rid of clothing by the artist he had mention on his DVDs. I cleaned my house of all statues and objects that could be demonic.
I have been following G Craig Lewis ever since. Even though I seen The Truth Behind Hip VOL 5 I had to get the message live when I found out he was coming to MARY LAND just recently. I took my son and daughter; we traveled 3 hours to hear his message. We sat in the front row; I took notes and enjoyed every minute of his teachings. GOD BLESSES you and your family, G Craig Lewis.
Well,
Praise God for your humble spirit and speaking the TRUTH…. God, YOU are awesome! What integrity!!!! Thanks so much for sharing Pastor Price!
All I can say is that Pastor Frederick Price, Jr. didn’t just stand up to say something BUT he had something to say! God Bless you Pastor Price!
Glory to God for men of Faith standing for the Father of Our faith
Thank you Lord Jesus for Pastor Price jr. & Pastor Craige and EX-Ministries Team.
You have been the cornerstone from the begining of our being. And have been at work in our lives while we find our place in you Jesus.
We confess that at times you seem distants, but looking back over the crucial moments of our lives, we can see your fingerprints and your grace leading us to where we are today.
Bless these brothers and all those that are in the ministery along side them. Thank you Father for your favor upon them, their families and ministery.
We ask humblely for your Holy-Spirit to direct every move they make and alert them of any danger ahead. Giving them victory over every snare that the enemy is going to try to entrap them with.
Father, make your presence even more powerfully known in their lives as they seek your will and commit to live for you, Lord Jesus. We thank-you for the many SOULS that are gonna be won for your glory through our brothers and sisters, those involved in the ministery you have appointed them to oversee. In the name of Jesus our Lord . Amen
God Bless!! brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
amen
What do you think about “Screemo”, “Christian Metal” type music in the youth ministries. You can’t understand nothing being said. Oh excuse me, evidently some of the youth can. I see nothing edifying about this type of music either. My pastor, a few years ago, taught on Rock music and it’s negative influence, but that was it. Really curious about these other types. I know some people probably don’t even know what “Screemo” is. Can you help?
What blesses me about this is how Price shared his journey of growth; inclusive of his faults. This truly had to be a humbling and self reflective experience. The fact that he shared the history of the relationship makes such a big impact. We need more people to share their journeys of change even when they’ve been wrong despite their intentions. Stories like this promote truth and growth in the body. Amen and thank you for sharing.
I have to say to everyone. If you have never heard or seen what Craige have to say well you are already behind. The only advice that I can give you NOW is you have check out G Craige messages. I have been saved for over 32yrs and I only listen to Gospel Music but then when I think about it, some of the people that I do listen to are not on the same team I am. When I began to follow G Craige I begin to see that God was speaking through this man and no one wanted to here what he had to say, but when you look at it they dont want to here what Jesus had to say either but here we are!!!!! Thank you G Craige you got my support 100% ..Kathy G….
Thank God for the gift he has given to the church. this gift is brother Craige Lewis whom speaks the truth. God Bless you brother.
Praise God for exposing the devil. Our youth need to know the thuth. JESUE IS TRUTH.
To God be the glory! It is truly a blessing to have someone like, Minister Lewis, and Pastor Price, who are willing to edify, encourage and enlighten us as believers. I know that when we open up our heart to receive as Pastor Price has done regarding the ministry that Pastor Lewis is teaching on, others ministers will line up to, if they truly have a heart after God.
Thanks, Brother Craig, for all of the wonderful things you’ve been seeking to do in the Lord…and through Christ. Its cool to see the way the leadership has transitioned at the church under Fredrick Price—though it can be still discouraging when it seems that there’s so much civil war going on. For all the solid work Brother Price or you do, I’ve often seen it where others will dismiss what you do simply because both of you still adhere to aspects of the FAITH Movement (Word of Faith), namely that “death and life is truly in the power of the tongue” as it concerns music. I’m grieved at how many of these “watchdog”/”discernment” ministries exist that literally get involved fighting the WRONG wars…
But glad to see you are going strong. Keep it real for Christ, sir..
Oh o.k. so since Djing a wedding or an event is o.k., is or let me say what is another side of Djing is not o.k.? Tetaun explained about the Djing element of hip hop. But I just need to know when Djing is not o.k. ( For ex. is it only Djing at a club? or what else?)
Response: DJing as in DJing a wedding or an event is ok.
WOW! This is wonderful. Thank you for posting. The Word of God will always prevail!!!
Response: Thank you
I know we have to start somewhere and not to knock his attempts, but the letter started off good and towards the middle and end it seems to be contradictory. All I can say is we must test ALL spirits. I hope that he is genuine and is sincere. God Bless….
Response: He really is. Let me just say that he is definately a man of integrity.
I understands that hip hop is not of God and there is nothing wrong with rapping for the Lord. But is there anything wrong with a christian DJing music that talks about christ? Bobby or anyone else is Djing music that talks about christ o.k.? I just want to get that clear.
Response:No
Praise God for humility! It takes humility to recognize that, even as pastor of a mega-church, you do not have all wisdom. Too many mega-church pastors have so much pride that it spills out of every orifice in their body! The Word says that God resists the proud and this is why their churches are so carnal. God bless you both!
WOW, is all I can say, I can remember years ago seeing sermons on TV from Fred Price Jr, speaking about the hip hop and the youth and the whole church had on the clothes etc. O, but how I thank God that it is turned around. I am so honored to know G.Craige Lewis, he has been a blessing in my life for more than 10 years. Just like Bro Price, I did not get it, or even really understand everything, put as I continue to pump the word in my spirit and listen to exministries and the daily word, my life continues to make drastic changes. I can never understand why people run away from the truth, but I am not running from it, I am running to the truth cause it makes us free.
Awesome is our GOD,what a Glorious example of how GOD in all Righteousness can do all things and turn the heart of man back to GOD.LOVE IT and I am a huge supporter of EX ministries.Thank you JESUS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The TRUTH wins every time.
Amen!
Bless the Lord for Elder Lewis and the integrity of Pastor Price Jr. His testimony displays the truth of the Bible. At times we follow the wrong pat just as the children of Israel did many times. God in Hos loving kindness and tender mercies will send His messenger (Elder Lewis) to get us back on track. If we truly love God then we will hear the truth of God, repent and restore ourselves back to righteousness. When true repentance takes place the evidence is speaking out against the sin. We really need to understand that it is not good enough just to know that we are wrong. We need to denounce all evil doing so that others won’t fall into the same snare. We do these things only when we love God.
I owe Pastor Price an apology because I truly thought of him as carnal but I see the love of God in his heart and know I rejoice in his growth and evidence that he loves the Lord. Brother thanks for showing me the patience of God and how He is doing a wonderful work in our life.
To God Be the Glory! Pastor Price’s letter is evidence of the convicting power of the Holy Spirit! Pastor Lewis’ dedication and commitment to staying on His assignment to preach, educate and inform the body of Christ about the sub-culture of Hip Hop and it’s demonic and anti-Christ spirits and Pastor Price’s openness to evaulate and be convicted to see Hip Hop for what it is – it’s just more evidence that God is working a mighty work in Pastor Lewis!
Similar to Pastor Price, I was introduced to ExMinistries in 2004 and was not sure about Hip Hop being so demonic, probably due to the fact that I grew up on Hip Hop and was caught into it! But over the years, I’ve been diligently studying, listening, and sharing TTBHH series and the evidence has convinced me and convicted me that Hip Hop, gospel, rock and R&B can no longer be a part of my life. And this makes it tough on people around me because I’m so critical of music as I better understand it’s power!
So again, it’s wonderful to hear that church leadership is taking a stand and speaking out. And continue prayers and blessings on Ex ministries. The best is yet to come.
Ps when will Exministries be in the Wash, DC area??
Wow! This is absolutely awesome!
years ago I Introduced holy hip hop into my former church because i thought it was ok and i knew of no one speaking against it. Then i saw TTBH and tried to get it out and even showed it to my youth leaders and they opposed it and every DVD from exministries. I’ve sent left that church and now am a youth leader in my new church. Hip hop will never get a foothold in it. I’m glad youre now speaking out because alot of christians just follow and don’t seek God, so you will now force people to check with God. Hiphop is a spirit not music. I’ll be praying for you pastor price.
Testament to his mom and dad…Trained him up in the way he should go…Bless you young man Pastor Fred Price Jr…When a man’s ways please the Lord he makes his enemies to be at peace with him.
Praise God that people are willing to take a stand no matter what the popular opinion is!!!
A true example of humility, integrity, and a repented heart. I know many times when heresy is being challenged, we jump all over it. But it is more rewarding to finally see the fruit of this message nourishing a leader on a major platform. I believe this example of love from brotha’ Craige is an example of the love demonstrated from prophets and apostles to leaders in the bible. It’s sincere and stern, yet, patient, understandng, and compassionate. And pastor price your testimony reminds me of Jehosaphat who was warned by one prophet (Macaiah), and God sent him another prophet (Jehu) to show him where went wrong and to get back to his 1st love. God is so “MERCIFUL” isn’t he? He cried for mercy and God spared him. This is why love hopeth all things, beliveth all hings, and endureth all things. But Jude summed it up the best by telling us to have “compassion on some pulling them out of the fire”. Be encouraged pastor Price and my prayer is that you have the same diligence and stubborness to uphold the standard of truth as jehosaphat did in the aftermath. Selah!
2 Chronicles 19 (New King James Version)
1 Then Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned safely to his house in Jerusalem. 2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Therefore the wrath of the LORD is upon you. 3 Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”
The Reforms of Jehoshaphat
4 So Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the mountains of Ephraim, and brought them back to the LORD God of their fathers. 5 Then he set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city, 6 and said to the judges, “Take heed to what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment. 7 Now therefore, let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.”
8 Moreover in Jerusalem, for the judgment of the LORD and for controversies, Jehoshaphat appointed some of the Levites and priests, and some of the chief fathers of Israel, when they returned to Jerusalem.[a] 9 And he commanded them, saying, “Thus you shall act in the fear of the LORD, faithfully and with a loyal heart: 10 Whatever case comes to you from your brethren who dwell in their cities, whether of bloodshed or offenses against law or commandment, against statutes or ordinances, you shall warn them, lest they trespass against the LORD and wrath come upon you and your brethren. Do this, and you will not be guilty. 11 And take notice: Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king’s matters; also the Levites will be officials before you. Behave courageously, and the LORD will be with the good.”
All Glory and Honour to our Most Awesome God!!!!!!! I am excited as I type this response to this amazing letter. This is sound confirmation that Pastor Lewis, his family and all of ExMinistries is in God’s order with this ministry. This is sooo amazing and beautiful!!! Praise God!!!!!! God bless you all.
:O)
PRAAAAISSSSEEE GOD!!!!!
This letter was VERY UPLIFTING!!! Pastor Price’s sincere heart flowed throughout this letter! and you know what? This goes to show…whatever the Lord says do…do it and don’t look for the count…Pastor Price’s honesty on how he let lack of knowledge, anger and pride get in the way of TRUTH will prayerfully allow others to let their array of emotions down and begin to STAND on TRUTH. Just as he said RIGHT is RIGHT.>
Sidebar: It also taught me a personal lesson…. I have been informing my family of Hip*Hop for years…sometimes I feel it falls on deaf ears…this lets me know…Its alllll about the Word of God. All I’ve got to do is SPeak it, Live it, continue in Prayer and leave the increase up to God!
Awesome way to end my night! Thanks for the post!!!
God Bless and YET PRAYING….
May God bless and keep Bro Price in these days of controversy. The letter was like warm rain. I am so sick of church leader’s cowardice and compromise. As he said G. Craige’s ministry is a help to the body and it should be utilized not fought against. Pastor Fred Price Sr’s book Race, Religion and Racism was a major inspiration for me writing my book.
Praise God! Praise God! The army of God is growing…the Truth is being told and the children of God are being delivered. I’m so glad that Pastor Fred Price Jr. wrote this letter… I’ve been a follower of his father’s for many years. I believe God has sent the man og God Pastor G. Craige Lewis for this appointed time and we need to hear God and support and follow the spirit of God in him. This is not a Game…this is real! It’s time to take our rightful places. I’ve introduced this to my pastor and his wife and the opposition is grand! But, Jesus is Lord!!! We win!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Amen. May God continue to bless both ministries.
So beautiful! Praise God!!!
The Good Fruit that Ex-Ministries has planted is RIPE! Harvest Time.. AMEN!
Amen.
I go on ex times daily and I pray that every leader can be as honest as this Pastor. Honesty is the best thing. God loves honest men. Men try to side with the world and compromise. Why why. When we gave god our lives we said sold out. The bible tells us of the tribulation the bible tells us of the persecution so why do we compromise. God told us what we are engaged in a war. What is it to not understand. The world hates people who do not stand up for what you believe. Why do we not get that. God hates liArs and false prophets. What do we not get thAt. Even the people on the streets do not play with god. Why does this happen in the church. SAtan hates people who cAll god god and serve him. Why can’t we understand thAt. Why cAn’t leaders understand that. Why can they not get thAt. God likes pure in heart not fAkers. Read the bible we need to get that in this last dAy. And stop drinking with Baal and god. Why not understand that.
Give God the glory! I always liked his father. Stay strong bro. Price and follow the Spirit!
Praise be to God for his vessel that’s not afraid to speak the truth that God has given him. I honor you Pastor Price for the boldness and the stand you have taken because you was willing to embrace the truth no matter how hard it was for you. I been standing behind this man of god Craige lewis a 100% for years for telling the truth about hip hop no matter what people said about him and the messages that God has given him. It has encourage us in HGLMinistery not to compromise in the music that God bless us to make. We will be praying for you Pastor Price for the stand you made aganist hip hop.
Proverbs:18;12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.
God Bless you Pastor Frederick Price Jr. and to the whole family at Ever Increasing Faith.
All I can say is Praise GOD. This is a body blow to Hip Hoppers both inside and outside the church, especially the “Black Church” (although I really don’t like to use the term). It is proof and encouragement that we must stand with God’s Word regardless of the world’s opinion. 1 John 2:15 Love not the world.
It is wonderful to hear some great news. Pastor Lewis and EX has truly been a blessing to the Body of Christ. Thanks to his willingness to hear and obey the voice of God, the body of Christ has been strengthened!
Wow Praise God!
This is a great post! GOD Bless Bro. Fred for having the humility to humble himself and admit when he was wrong and commit to do the right thing. That is so absent today in The Body of Christ. So many Christians are so arrogant and hard-headed because GOD brought them through some things and gave them some of HIS wisdom that they believe they know EVERYTHING and won’t listen to anybody, even when they are dead wrong. We are a Body of Christ and need to start living together in harmony and unity like it was when Christianity first began. G. Craige Lewis and the whole EX-Ministries staff are sounding the alarm for GOD and standing tall and strong in these last days. GOD Bless you all! I thank GOD for bringing me across G. Craige Lewis’ teachings on youtube and for allowing me to grow even closer to HIM. My generation (I’m 27) is lost and needs to turn to GOD before it’s too late. We’ve been lied to, abandoned, molested, cursed, and abused which led us to rob, steal, kill, rape, and lie. But the answer is and will always be Jesus Christ! Just like GOD changed Jacob’s deceitful name to Isreal, GOD but it in G. Craige Lewis’ heart to change our name from Generation X to Generation EX. We have to shed the bad name and image and receive the blessings GOD has for us just like He did with Jacob (Israel). GOD Bless…
Amen!

” THE PRAYERS OF THE RIGHTEOUS AVAILTH MUCH ! ”

FULL ARMOR ……….. ON ! ! !
God Bless You Pastor Price for your sincerity, boldness and love for the truth. Your written testimony serves as such an encouragment to me and others. To know there are still Pastors of large ministries with a platform who will side with revealed truth and not with what is popular or fadish; Who truly are on the Lord’s side and not just gravitating to what appears to be the mainstream in many ministries today concerning the youth. As we know, there are different administrations in the Body of Christ but one Spirit. It is with this biblical truth in mind that we also, for the past 5 years, thank God for the ministry He has placed in Elder Lewis in the shedding of light of TTBHH. May the Lord continue to bless you and EIFM.
Hallelujah, Thank you, Jesus! This is a great blessing!
What a great testimony!!! God is moving on the hearts of his people before his return. “Glory to God”
Hallelujah! Another Kingdom specie had just been LIBERATED from the den of the MONSTER called HIP-HOP.This is God working through the unadulterated sermon of my lovely Anti-hip-hop Pastor. Pastor G. Craige Lewis. Pastor Fred, heavens are rejoicing because of your Repentance.CONGRATS!
Praise God! This has been a long time coming, I’m sure for EX Ministries as well as for the Christians who know in our hearts and spirits that Pastor G. Craige is right. I was raised in Hip-Hop as my life and it felt as much a part of me as my blood and bones. I got saved almost 4 years ago and I came across TTBHH last year on my birthday. I immediately knew it was the truth and I fell to my knees in repentance for myself, my peers and my generation. I look forward to continuing to stand in agreement with Pastor G. Craige as this message and the others that God brings through him continue to affect the world for Christ. Praise God for Pastor G. Craige and EX Ministries, I am forever, truly grateful!
Praise god Almightyyy!! Awwh, man! This letter brought me to tears to see him see God for who he is and to humble himself to God’s Word. I have great respect for him. Thank you Lord God!! God has great things in store for Pastor Fred Price, Jr. and his ministry! Keep the faith brother!!
Well praise God.
. I really like how he clarified hope music from hip-hop. There is a strong difference. I pray that God will continue to bless him and his ministry and that this becomes an example to Mega Churches across the globe that are promoting Hip-Hop in their services.
This is awesome and behind this powerful testimony and letter many pastors are going to come around, stand up for truth and kick hip hop out of their church, hallelujah.
THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!!
God Bless you Pastor Price for taking the stand and God Bless Pastor Lewis for continuing to stand!
Praise the Lord! Thank you Pastor Lewis for standing your ground and telling the truth. And thank you Pastor Price for taking a stand for the Lord Jesus Christ and refusing to remain silent!!! Hallelujah
Exministries,Pastor G. Craige Lewis, that seed you sowed fell on ‘Good ground’! this is a great testimony and all Pastors should read it. I am so blessed to have contact with exministries, i love receiving emails from you daily with news of info regarding wisdom, exposing the enemy, and most of all what God is doing. I love exministries podcast and def. will be purcHASING THE DVD’S TTBHH although my sons are grown i will let them see what hip hop is all about and will share it with others too. I am so happy to know that Pastor Frederick K. Price jr. humbled himself and the young folks and older will be set free from that demonic music hip hop.
Yayee lol… We backing 100 % No compromising. This is going up on facebook.
HALLELUJAH TO JESUS!
John 16:12-13 (NKJ)
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
HIs humble spirit and stand for God is quite refreshing.. In a world in which everyone is compromising and people-pleasing, its quite nice to have a pastor take an unpopular but needed stance, and yet be vocal about it…if we had pastors like this every state, we would change the face of this world, if not christianity. No doubt
Praise God for His mighty power! It goes to show that if we do it Gods way we will always be successful. I am praying that more Pastors eyes will be opened to the truth.
Praise God(!) and Amen. My goodness, how beautiful it is to witness men of God stand TOGETHER and touch and agree on what is right. I’ll go if I have to go by myself, but it is nice to have Godly company once and a while.lol
PRAISE GOD!! This is the reason why when God gives you an assignment you should obey him no matter what! If God called you to do it, it doesn’t matter what people say or think. When God called Paul the bible says that Paul conferred with no man. He wasn’t going around asking people do they think he should do it or not. This is another confirmation that God has called Pastor Craige and EXMinistries to warn the body of Christ about the demonic sub-culture called “hip hop”.
I used to watch Pastor Price and the hip hop Sunday broadcast. They would all dress up like hip hoppers, even the older folks that were in the church. He would bring in “holy hip hoppers” and he would even rap himself. Today I praise God that this young man’s heart has been flooded with light when it comes to hip hop. I pray that Pastor Price will continue to allow God to use him and that he will continue to lead EIFM into all truth.
Thank you Pastor Craige and EXMinistries for crying aloud and sparing not! The word that the Lord has given you is being heard. I pray that the Lord will continue to protect you and your family in these end times. I am with Pastor Price, I stand with you 100%!
“we the church do not need approval from the world. The world does not need to be befriended, they need to be ministered to”
truer words have NEVER been spoken!!! AMEN pastor price!!! you hit the nail on the head.lets get that ball rolling
HALLELUYAH!!!!…..Glory to God…the truth is the truth and its great that Pastor Price Jr could humble himself and have ears to hear and eyes to see the truth regarding hip hop. As followers of Christ we grow and continue to get revelation from God so its okay to say hey using hip hop wasnt the best practice but now i see and im going to do better now and inform the youth about what i now know. Good for him. =)
I remember purchasing Elder’s disc a almost five or six years ago as suggested by another minister & friend. It caused me to scrutinize everything and every lyric. We allow it and make excuses for why we listen for the sake of self. Yet I understand and agree with Pastor Price, Jr. it is time to take a stand for what’s right or fall for everything that is not of God. We have six children and they listen to both rap and rock. They are now beginning to see for themselves why they are starting not to listen to certain music. Needless to say I lent the DVD to my Dad (Pastor) and haven’t seen it since (smile). I commend you both for coming forward and speaking the truth. We all fall short but it is in the acknowledgement of our errors that we can seek forgiveness and restoration. Our children are being attacked in ways we are failing to see because we are blinded by self-righteousness. The word says If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land! It is time for a renewing of the mind, thought, actions, deeds of the Kingdom so that we align ourselves with God’s will and His intentions for His people. God Bless You both and continue to speak the truth no matter the cost even unto death!
That’s commendable and I can move on from here.
But as I stated, I can move on. Welcome to the fold Pastor Price Jr. You should invite Minister Craige to your church.
According to the article, he already has. Pastor Craige will be there next year.
I am rejoicing right now. God bless you pastor and keep preaching the pure gospel of Jesus Christ.
Wow! I am humbled by this letter, this is so awesome i have tears in my eyes. Praise God and his Holy name. Thank you Lord Jesus for opening up the eyes of Pastor Price Jr. Pastor Price you are a true example of a man of God, that can humble himself and except truth. I thank God for your writing this letter and my prayer is that is reaches every pastor and Bishop that thinks hip-hop is a way to reach the youth.
Pastor Lewis i can’t thank God enough for what you have done, not only in my life and my wife’s, but in the lives of thousands. What a blessing, God so good.
Praise God! A humble heart and contrite spirit! The truth will set you free! I feel you bro! This is exactly why we have to be patient, body of Christ! Speak the truth in love always, but always be patient and able to deal with one-another gently! God bless you Bro Craig for dispalying the fruits of the spirit, and bro Fred price Jr, Hopefully the many other brothers who have influence over the people could repent and confess as well, TD Jakes, crefflo, olsteens and the likes!
