The Billboards, The Babies and A Happy Birthday in Atlanta!

My own testimony has given me faith to see abortion end in America. In 2005, after I spoke in a conference in Washington DC on praying for the end of abortion, a young lady, Cathy Harris, was profoundly impacted by the ministry time. She went back to her state, Georgia, and felt the leading of the Lord to do silent siege prayer meetings at an abortion clinic in Atlanta, GA, with her new friend, Liz Robertson, who also attended the conference where I spoke in DC. Simply put, a silent siege is a prayer meeting where we stand in silence and pray, agreeing in prayer and standing in the gap as intercessors with the silent prayers of babies being aborted in America. We stand in prayer, with red duct tape over our mouths, with the words “LIFE” written on it. All of this was birthed out of a dream that God gave, and later became a prayer movement called Bound 4 Life.

Their prayer meeting in Atlanta at the clinic went from once a month, to twice a month. It started out with 2 people, and grew into as many as 20 to 40 people praying together. Eventually, this became a Bound 4 Life chapter started by them. I was copied on an email Liz sent, and unbeknownst to her, of the 12 abortion clinics they could have chose, they chose the one where I aborted my child more than 20 years ago in Atlanta! I had never shared publicly the state, city or location of that clinic. During mothers day weekend of 2007, I flew to Atlanta and prayed with Cathy, Liz and several other Bound 4 Life intercessors at this clinic. Later that year, one of the intercessors had a dream, in which the Lord said to her, “If you do this prayer meeting for 40 days straight, this clinic will shut down.” These young people took this as an assignment from the Lord, and held their silent siege prayer meeting in front of the clinic for 40 days straight. At the end of 40 days, the security guard, who began to befriend this group, said, “Well, what y’all are doing must be paying off, because this clinic is going to shut down, at the end of November.” We were ecstatic!

Sure enough, a note was posted saying that the clinic was closed, and no abortions have happened at that location since and remains empty. Interestingly enough, I was asked by Johnny Hunter, African American Pro Life pioneer, to help in hosting an African American Pro Life Summit in Atlanta, Ga., on November 30th of that year, the first if its kind, for that city. As God would have it, this clinics closing, and the Black pro-life summit were all happening on November 30th, which is my birthday! Weeks later while in prayer, with tears of joy on my face for this clinic closing, the Lord had me focus on my birthday being the 11th month and the 30th day of the year, and the Holy Spirit told me to look at Hebrews 11:30. When I saw that there was such a scripture, and what it said, I was stunned and wept. Hebrews 11:30 says,

“And by faith, the walls of Jericho fell after they had been encircled for 7 days.”

I thought, “My God, before there was a shout at Jericho, there was a silent siege, and this clinic was closed in the same way thru a silent siege.”

Later, I got to the heart of what God was saying to me. I was sharing this with some intercessors, and they told me they were recently listening to a Bible scholar talk about the walls of Jericho. He spoke of how he was in Israel, and was taken by archeologists to the place where Jericho is believed to have been, and in that place they found clay jars, that had sacrificed babies inside of them! It turns out, historians record that many cities like Jericho, were part of nations that worshipped false gods, and actually sacrificed their children and placed their remains in the city walls as a demonic resistance to ward off their enemies. This can be seen in 2 Kings 3:27, when the king of the Moabites, who worshipped Molech, sacrificially kills his oldest son on the walls of the city, in order to release spiritual influence to defeat the armies of Israel. This could be why Joshua prophecies in Joshua 6:26, after the walls of Jericho fall:

“…Cursed before the LORD is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his first-born he shall lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he shall set up its gates.”

Hundreds of years later, this actually happens. Ahab and Jezebel take over as leaders in Israel, and eventually reinstitute Baal worship, which included child sacrifice. During that time, they send a man to rebuild Jericho. 1Kings 16:34 says,

“In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; he laid its foundations with the loss of Abiram his first-born, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.”

So, hundreds of years later, the word of the Lord thru Joshua gets carried out, and God reveals that Hiel is the cursed man before Him, because he killed and sacrificed his sons.

Please understand, Hiel didn’t rebuild Jericho along side his son, then a brick falls on him, and he dies. Nor were his sons working with him and a freak accident happens, and they die. No, a careful look into the Hebrew shows that Hiel’s sons were killed, and he offered their bodies sacrificially to be built into the foundation and gates of Jericho. In other words, Hiel’s sons didn’t help build the walls of Jericho alongside their father, no, Hiel’s son’s were sacrificially built into the walls of Jericho, like stones within the walls. This explains more why God raised up Moses and Joshua, to not only deliver Israel from Egypt, but to war against the other nations with cities like Jericho where innocent blood was shed.

This may be an ancient practice, but it is still even carried out today. In Uganda, there is an epidemic of children disappearing, and being sacrificed to false gods for spiritual power. According to the ABC News 20/20 special done on this, children are killed, and then buried within the walls, gateways and foundations of homes for spiritual influence, (http://abcnews.go.com/2020/child-sacrifice-uganda-witch-doctors-spread-belief/story?id=9930029). In America the same spiritual dynamic is taking place, the only difference is that children are taken out of the womb, and sacrificed to the God of convenience within the walls of abortion clinics.  Even now, according to the Bureau of Vital Statistics, in 2005 for African Americans, though there were 587,000 live births, there were also 452,000 induced abortions! What’s interesting is that the silent siege at Jericho didn’t stay silent. At the right time, a great shout was released, and that is happening in Atlanta right now with prolife billboard signs, put together by Catherine Davis of Georgia Right To Life and Ryan Bomberg of The Radiance Foundation and www.toomanyaborted.com. God wants to shout the truth about abortion all across America, because the truth will set America free.

You see, God didn’t raise up Israel, deliver them from slavery and consecrate them thru wondering in the desert for 40 years and 80 years, so they could just go into the promise land and kick back and eat big grapes and enjoy the honey. No, part of what He was doing was consecrating a people to comfort His heart by putting an end to what was happening in Jericho: Child sacrifice. The walls of Jericho represented the wall of iniquity and social injustice regarding the shedding of innocent blood. The walls of Jericho also represented the barrier to the blessings that God wanted to release to the nation of Israel. And in order for them to get to the other side where the blessings were, that wall of injustice had to come down.

I believe this all happened on my birthday for a reason. In the same way God used former Hebrew slaves, He is using a people delivered from slavery in this nation, African Americans, to birth a movement of prayer to end today’s child sacrifice carried out in the walls of the abortion industry. He is raising up a consecrated group of people, who will comfort His heart to see these walls of injustice come down in this nation. Like the walls of Jericho, abortion has been a spiritual barrier, blocking us from the best God has for African Americans and this nation. Now, its time for us to see this wall fall, so we can all move forward into the best God has for America.
