How can anyone remotely think that Osteen is a gospel preacher ? This man rarely speaks what is written in the Word,he is either ashamed,afraid, or too ignorant to preach the gospel of Christ.I heard him say that he would not preach of God’s wrath, indignation or judgement , only the love,grace,and goodness… even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,…and bring upon themselves swift destruction.And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.( 11 Pet.2) Multitudes are following this so-called preacher.Thank God for the Word of Truth and the Spirit of Truth.

They don’t realize that the enemy has thrown down the gauntlet and their invitations to speak on these shows is a weapon in a war on the Christ – attempting to show Him weak, impotent, hypocritical, and nuts. It won’t work. They would never invite a true believer like Pastor G. Craige Lewis on their show. Never.

You would like John Macarthurs sermon against Joel Olsteen’s book called ” Your Best Life Now or Later?” In the sermon John Macarthur says that if this is your best life now then your next life must be hell, because for the Christian, this is our worst life and our next life in heaven will be our best life.

While I believe Joel stands for less than nothing. McArthur is a Calvinist who believes in electionism. He also doesn’t believe in prophets or apostles, speaking with tongues, being filled with the Spirit (receiving the gift of the Spirit), or the operation of the gifts of the Spirit. He doesn’t believe in casting out demons or laying hands on the sick. He’s a cessaionist who believes all that ended with the book of acts. He’ll even go on to attribute those things happening today to the devil. In my opinion that’s committing the unpardonable sin but that’s me. Now I agree this life couldn’t be better than the next, however Jesus did say if we leave family for His sake and the gospel, we’d receive a hundredfold in this life and the next, as I said before though, I believe the next will be better, cuz it will be without the temptations, tests, and trials.

How can Joel “really” speak out against homosexuality when he is a false teacher. Homosexuality and false teaching function under the influence of the spirit of error. The spirit of error or sometimes called a lying spirit, twist and distort the mind of people, to cause them to think what is wrong is really right. The bottom line is that people who claim to be of God are not standing up for his son Jesus. JO needs to know what the Word of the living God says and make up his mind on whether he is in the Kingdom of God or of the kindom of this world. The Apostle Paul requested prayer for himself in Ephesians 6:19 20, “that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.” They are comprising the Christian belief. Who are they representing? This is the problem with the watering down of Christianity, people want to be too close with the world and I believe it is because they have their own agendas and motives. Fame, forturne, and power! All they want to do is sell another book, why? People need to read the Word and be transformed in the renewing of their minds. Jesus? Where does he fit in? They have a form of godliness but they so deny the power of God. They don’t rightly devide the Word of truth they preach their own gospel and what the world wants to hear.

I was friends with his sister, gave my life to the Lord under his Dad JOHN, so I am a bit familiar with the family…they are a God fearing family, however I don’t in my personal opinion believe Joel was ever prepared for ministry. He was the nice guy behind the scenes… It saddens me to see this. I thInk that you can be nice, with a heart for people, but he needs fire in his bones for Truth. The uncompromised Word of God. It’s scary to stand but stand you must. I pray that he would receive the power of the Holy Spirit to be bold and unafraid. I’m honestly shocked that he said even what he DID say. I wish that he looked more confident and use more clear cut and definitive words in his response. Something to the effect of… “Sure homosexuals are welcomed to come to our church, but we do not condone their lifestyle because God does not condone their lifestyle. Me too Danielle! I can’t for the life of me understand why mom, who is a Christian, loves that stupid show so much!!! Joel did look completely weak up there and scared to death actually. I agree with one of the previous comments in that, why do people go on these shows so unprepared. One thing I agree with, I can’t stand people like Bill O’Reilly, Beck, Hannity, etc., but AT LEAST they have the courage of their convictions, which is more that I can say for those like Joel, TD, Creflo, etc. All they want to do is appease the world and then when they’re asked the tough questions, they end up looking like punks who don’t know what they are talking about. The Lord doesn’t have any coward soldiers, so it goes to show that these pastors aren’t really sold out for the Lord, they are just doing “a job” so to speak, so they can rake in the dough on Sundays. I can only imagine what Joel is bringing in as a pastor of his church, with over 25,000 members to almost completely fill a former basketball stadium. So much good he is doing if none of those 25,000 are going to heaven, then they are just wasting their time hearing his Sunday morning cheerleader “feel-good” speeches and giving him their money to support his lavish lifestyle. Personally, I wish these pastors would stop going on tv PERIOD! If they can’t say anything that lines up with the word of God on tv and can’t stand up for what they believe in, then SHUT UP!!!!!!!

I mean is their such a thing!? because in mark it said that we are suppose to go to all ye land and preach the gospel. So letting unbelievers know since they are sinners they need to repent is the gospel. Also you have John 3:16 and verses that talks about those who don’t believe and don’t repent shall go to hell. That is the gospel. Preaching about hell or sin is not your calling because you chose not to preach the gospel and rather give good speech. Or you have denied christ already…! We tried to complain to the Dean, and he said “you should know the mechanisms so WELL that you know which is the most EFFECTIVE the BEST, you’re gonna be doctors this is nothing to complain about”
My point. Even if it wasn’t God’s “best” ( which is mumbo jumbo, where did he get DAT FROM?!?!?) There are two “conundrums” here. Why anyone watches this show, and why someone with no backbone would go on it. If you are a conservative, a true Christian, or both you will be attacked viciously on this show. Why go on if you are unprepared? He just made all pastors look bad by not standing up for what he “believes” in. All pastors, and all Christians need to have conviction about what they believe.

I hope that you are NOTaccusing God’s Word of bashing Pastor Osteen and other pastors who fail to defend the Word and call sin SIN? We are applying the Holy Word that actually is the judge in this case. Did Jesus “bash” the Pharisees? Yes! They should know better and so should Pastor Olsteen! Christians do not operate by politically correct notions but by the Word of God. And the Word condemns Pastor Olsteen in this instance of compromising with the secular society on this issue of homosexuality. In my book he does not need prayer, he needs to listen to those persons who show him his error! That type of correction is a demonstration of love.

Soloved, I think that you are rather confused regarding your interpretation of the Bible. Yes, the Word says for us to hate the sin, not the sinner, but that is pertaining to us as Christians not hating others for the sin that they commit. Nevertheless, the Word also says that homosexuality is an abomination, meaning that anyone who commits this sin is going to hell if they do not turn from it, repent, and change. If your interpretation of Bible was correct, then basically nobody would be going to hell because you’d have to fault their sin for their wrongdoing, not the person, but obviously, someone is going, and those who commit sin repeatedly without repentance, have a reprobate mind, and do not believe that Jesus is their Lord and Savior stand a pretty good chance of going to the lake of fire. The Bible does not sugarcoat things, as we often LOVE to do. It is actually pretty blunt in terms of what to do, what not to do, and the way in which man can be saved, but we are the ones that always want to distort the Bible and make it what we want it to be, but as the Word says, woe unto the person that adds anything to Bible or tries to take anything away from it.

I have to say this… I am taught that Sin is Sin… there is NO greater sin… homosexuality, inclusion, whatever… sin is sin. God HATES sin… but he LOVES the sinner which is why He died for us all. I don’t think SOLVED’s comment means that he/she is “infected with inclusion” I just think it means that he/she understands that fact that as Christians we have to remember our place and remember that we are not the judge of men. Homosexuality is SIN and Joel should have done WAY better with his responses however, in defense of SOLVED lest not judged… remember not to hate the sinner… just the sin. When we start hating the sinner we will focus more on them than on helping the get saved and delivered… we will stick out our chests and become puffed up.

God’s Best is “HOLINESS” for His People (HEB. 12:14)…it has nothing to do with telling ppl that they are going to Hell. I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to keep telling the ungodly that they are on their way to Hell…because one thing is for sure, they’ll know when they there! There are people who aren’t saved that don’t condone that lifestyle…….. I agree you don’t have to have an attitude, but the truth must be preached. There are a lot of people that aren’t/weren’t saved that lived high moral lifestyles (aka Mother Teresa), but still never accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour. His job should be to preach the truth of the Gospel; the “true” Word will bring condemnation and cause repentance. This is one of the major reasons people aren’t saved and being saved. The TRUTH of the Gospel is not being presented. Just a bunch of theological words combined with motivational speaking techniques and you have your modern day sermon!!!!

That’s really what got me too. To just sit there and let somebody say God made a mistake and it’s a conundrum. Ummm…no…not to anybody who can read and understand. It’s only a conundrum to them because the Bible doesn’t say what they want it to say and they refuse to agree that right is right and gay is not.
He could’ve made it right from his appearance on Larry King but no…smh…this really does just get worse and worse…

ok we are supposed to homosexuality not the ppl so he may have an ear that others may not. I mean Whoopee Goldberg was actually listening, i mean we are trying to win sinners, not just tell them they going to hell God wants ppl to b saved. I mean u dont compromise you will b persecuted, but he knew what he was going to get going on that show.

This man is no Pastor ! Joel stop calling yourself Pastor and call yourself motivational speaker ! This guy refuses to call homosexuality sin ! I believe the reason is because he has so many homosexuals attending his church that he doesn’t want to offend and lose that crowd ! I know this from when I met one of his members here in Houston that is lesbian ! She told me that she likes his church because he doesn’t judge ! I stopped her and told her that he should be preaching the word of God and not worrying if he is offending people ! Of course she did not want to listen after that !

Very true! And I used to really like Isreal’s music too! His new album reminds me of Mary Mary, Kirk, Tye, Fred and the rest, just watered-down, bump your head to it, feel-good music, void of any depth or power!! So unlike his first few records, its just really sad, but when you hang around dogs long enough you’re bound to get fleas sooner or later.

all of this “God’s best” talk, why won’t he just come out and say it’s sin??? He is too concerned with what other’s think and you can’t be focused on that if you’re going to preach the Gospel. That was a perfect opportunity to share the Gospel…but then again he preaches false doctrine so this is no surprise…smh. I noticed how Whoopi was quick to say inclusion…we know what her and Joy Behar’s agendas are…
