The new “Victoria’s Secret model” Pastor Jamal Bryant & “secular artist” Kim Burrell kick off the new year with new gimmicks

Here is a clip of Kim Burrell talking about the gospel herself.

Just remember:

10 Signs of a Carnal Church

Finding a worldliness free church these days can be disheartening. There are so many crooks and devils pastoring churches these days, it can be a chore finding a service that will meet your needs rather than tickle your fancy. The bible tells us that the Devil can transform himself into an angel of light and his ministers into ministers of unrighteousness. Why in the world would a person desire to be in a church that is full of unrighteousness and carnality? Why not just club, party, and hang out in the world where that stuff belongs? I don’t understand why people even involve the church of God in their wickedness. What is the point? If you are in sin, then why practice sin and claim him?

But we see the church morally declining because of the leaders that are put up by carnal people. It’s not just the Pastors fault, but it’s the people that heap upon themselves these teachers, desiring to live worldly and carnal while claiming the God of our salvation. Let’s explore the 10 signs of a carnal church so that those of you that are really searching for a worship house will not have to sit through multiple takes of foolishness to make a decision. You do not want to expose your family to the umbrella of foolishness that many of these churches are operating under. So, here are the 10 signs of a carnal church:

10. Cash Money Evangelists - When you find out that preachers like the “money cometh man” has visited this church or they are under them in any way, make that your first and last visit! Pastors that want money will bring these thieves in or set themselves under them to be in position to get rich. They will use the pulpit like an Amway presentation and bring in these money stealing evangelist to generate income. This is a trick because while the Pastor gets richer, the people in the church get dumb and poor. Some will prosper because they were already prosperous, but the average person will never get any more than they would have already gotten had they not financed foolishness. Beware, it’s a spiritual pyramid scheme!

9. Financial focus - When you hear about offering and tithes before the offering period, beware. When you keep hearing about blessings, season, harvest, destiny, purpose, breakthrough, and especially FAVOR, then know you are being set up. All these things should pertain to soul winning, but when they are used as financial buzz words, then you know the pastor needs cash. The bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil and anytime money is overly emphasized in a ministry, there is evil following it. So, if they have a space on the visitors card to state your income bracket, proceed to the nearest exit!

8. Bad language - Any pastor that will use profanity in his pulpit is childish! That is one of the most carnal things you will ever see and it speaks volumes of the pastors lifestyle outside of the church. The bible says that if the tongue is out of order, the rest of the body is as well, so, you just got your sign on whether or not this is the person to bring your family under. And if the word for every Sunday is “SEX” then you know something is going on. PG-13 is too high a rating for Sunday morning worship. Why in the world would anyone tolerate a cussing pastor? Are we that desperate for a man to be over us that we would allow him to do what many of us don’t do in front of our own families? What a shame and yet it is happening at an alarming rate.

7. Divorce rate - You can learn a lot about a ministry and what kind of attacks it is experiencing by the number of divorces that are occurring. When people in leadership of a ministry divorce, it’s not the same as lay members divorcing. God hates divorce because it essentially says that people are giving up and not giving him a chance to reconcile them. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes, the circumstances may call for divorce based on abuse, or one party not being willing to work it out, but when people just mutually agree that they don’t want each other anymore, then that is what displeases God. And a church that is full of divorced couples is dangerous. Especially when it’s in the leadership and they can’t seem to work out their differences. And you never want to put yourself under a pastor that struggles with marital issues. When a man’s focus is his church rather than his family, beware. He is a hound dog on the prowl, seeking gratification outside his own home! Believe That!!!

6. Sinful Alliances - When the Bishop or Leader of the parent organization of your church is brought in by the pastor, check him out. If he has a bunch of homosexuals flying around with him or he is carnal and devilish, then expect the same from your pastor. A man cannot sit under wickedness long, without being affected by it. Psalms tells us that the wicked walk around freely when the vilest of men are exalted. When men come under foul leaders, they are essentially saying that they would rather position themselves for a position in the organization than protect their church from sinfulness. After all, isn’t being apart of a wicked organization saying that you are in essence in favor of wickedness? Be careful of this double standard. It’s not about the organization in God’s eyes, but it’s about the people that the Pastor is suppose to be caring for.

5. Homosexuals and Lesbians - If you walk into the building and they are everywhere, leave! Any man that attracts homosexuals is a homosexual. Any pastor that allows homosexuals to roam freely in his ministry is probably a homosexual. Any man that defends the gay lifestyle is most likely gay. Any man that has a tolerance for the lifestyle is probably gay. Any man that doesn’t get squeamish when they are surrounded by homosexuals likes the attention. People, why are we playing around with this? Why are we making this a non issue? It’s an obvious problem. Homosexuals will not thrive in a ministry that does not condone them. They will repent and be delivered if the power of God is truly in a ministry. If the leader tolerates their lifestyles and uses their talents without delivering their souls, then he is a pimp and should be avoided. This one should be a no brainer.

4. Club Attire - If the Pastor wears an earring, don’t get out the car! How can you ever have standards in your home and amongst your sons when the very pastor of the church is modeling vanity and showing he is a playa? Also, if people are walking around sexy in church and no one cares, then you know that church is not practicing holiness. I’m not saying that folks have to have crusty lips and nappy hair, but what I’m saying is that, butt cracks, cleavage, and belly buttons should not be outfit accessories! And please, let’s not get on the women and not touch on the men. We see that too often where the women have to look like national geographic natives, but the men can prance around dressed like Superfly! Let’s balance this out and just say, the church is not the club. We must not be intentionally sexy in the house of God. Tight fitting clothes and such just don’t belong in God’s house. God is the focus, so hide your meat!

3. Secular Remakes - If you visit a ministry and they welcome all the single people with Beyonce’s song “single ladies” or they sing “reasons” to the married couples, then you know you are in a den of debauchery. If they had a memerial service for MJ, then you are in punkdom and need to leave! Any church that has to resort to old and new school secular jams to keep people interested is nothing but a bootleg club and they need to start stamping hands. What happened to the “NEW SONG” that David spoke of? Why are people singing the worlds songs in church? The secular artists that wrote them are complaining and they want their songs back on the radio and in the world where they can get paid for them, not in the church. What a shame.

2. Obamania - If you hear about the president every week and your pastor has gone off the deep end trying to weave him into every sermon on a weekly basis, then you know it’s time to go! Our president stands for everything that Christ is against. How in the world do we make him a favorable topic for the church? Shouldn’t we as a church stand against his policy if it conflicts with the Word of God? But we have pastors that have jumped on his band wagon and are using his fame and popularity to generate income and membership. They feel if they keep him the focus, people that support him will support them! And they will always say “now, i don’t agree with all of his policies, but……..praise the Lord for blessing us with a black president!” That’s like saying “I know he is a satanist, but praise God I finally got a date!” I’m telling you, this is a true sign of the times when the president gets more time than Jesus in our pulpits.

1. God said stay! - This is not for the visitors, but this is for those that have seen a moral decline in the church you have been attending. You have seen the pastor embrace the world, carnality, television and movie stars. You have begun to hear more about money than about Jesus. You hear more about the pastors wants and desires than the desires of Jesus! You see the youth partying and hip hopping during the service and it just does not agree with your spirit. Homosexuals are everywhere and no one cares anymore. You are being abused spiritually because you are not giving as much as you are told by the pastor or you are not with the new stuff that’s going on. So, what do you do? You attempt to exercise your GOD GIVEN DOMINION AND RIGHT TO LEAVE. But when you meet with the pastor, he tells you that God said you can’t???? He says that God has told him something that he won’t tell you? In other words, you can’t leave because something bad is going to happen.

Well, this is witchcraft manipulation in the highest degree. When you are afraid to leave, then you know it’s not God. He has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and………..a sound mind. If the place you are worshiping is not spiritually sound, then that’s the part that is not God and the fear to leave must be rebuked.

Listen people of God. We are in a bad state of the church right now. It’s like the dark ages all over again. People think church is for the sinner and it’s not. Church is the collective body of believers assembling together in a unified manner. Those that practice and condone sinfulness are excluded! Sure many are weak and need strength, but you can’t draw strength from weak leaders! And for this cause many are not going to church anymore and would rather stay home. But God is faithful and I pray that you will make 2010 the year that you step away from that carnal headship and make a move of faith! Step out and seek the face of God for clarity. He will lead you to a wonderful place where the Spirit of God resides and the carnality of men is not. But you must take the step of faith first. Once you move, God will move on your behalf.

2Cor. 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Jer. 12:10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

2Tim. 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Matt. 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Jer. 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

In His Name,

G. Craige Lewis

A kingdom divided against itself shall not stand!!!!!!!! So I keep the mirror up to my own face and towards my own life. Not too quick to say things about other Believers without considering myself. I commend you Pastor Craig. I really do!!!. I too expose the lies of the enemy, but in Recovery. So I understand the scrutiny that you endure…But it doesn’t stop the plan God has on your life. Be Blessed My Brother in Christ!!! Keep our fellow believers of Christ lifted in prayer…We all are going to need it.

Then why are you on this site. Click the x button in the top right hand corner see your way out. No one asked you to come on here from jump.

    • James Bell Says:

Even if you disagree with me, I am your brother in Christ. There is no need to be hostile or dismissive. They shall know that we are Christians by our LOVE! May the love of God open your eyes and your heart.

  8. Jabari Woods Says:

Evangelizing in the modern age requires innovation. When I read entries on this site from Christians proclaiming, “I can’t wait for the rapture to come, so I can be done with this world.” I think, “man, we are giving up the fight at the most crucial time.”
I am a member of Empowerment Temple AME Church, and I thank God daily for my pastor Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant. I thank God for the word that he delivers through him and the anointing that he has placed on his ministry to reach souls. In 2010, over 750 accepted Christ through our ministry. Thousands of dollars were sent to Haiti for earthquake relief. Over 15,000 pairs of shoes were sent to Haiti. Some 3000 Baltimore city school kids were given brand new shoes. The giving to community never ceases to amaze me.
We will not stop at ETC, and no matter what folks may say Jamal will not stop, until the world knows who Jesus is, and the kingdom of God reigns in all the Earth. God bless you all.

  9. Khristie Says:

Pastor Lewis, I thank God for your Genuine LOVE for Him, His Word, and those that have a true desire to have a real relationship with Christ. Just wondering if you know of or could reccomend a REAL church in the Atlanta area. My father is a Pastor of a small church in SC, and thank GOD I was raised by a real man of GOD who like you, doesn’t play games when it comes to his faith or what is allowed to go on in the house of GOD! Unfortunately it 3 1/2 hrs from my home in GA! If you can recommend a TRUE church, I would be forever thankful, because most of the ones I have visited here make me sick with false doctrine, lies and out right blasphamy that they speak from the pulpit (and the people lap it up like thirsty dogs!!) I have 3 young sons, who I decicated to God from birth, and want to raise up in a Real church so that they can be indoctrinated with the truth, even outside the home! Help us find a fellowship of true christians if you can! Thanks!

  10. dbm Says:

Victoria’s Secret? why don’t this Pastor just come out and ask us to accept his views which are not only carnal, but they are gnostic based arent they? “Freedom to express my desires?” Clearly he had to be on the website looking at the flesh of these women, any black women with an ounce of sense, saved or unsaved can see through this hustle.

  11. Standingup4Christ Says:

First I just want to thank God that I my church doesn’t have any of this going on. My pastor really stands up against carnal christians. I am not saying my church is perfect but as soon as something seems out of place he addresses it or some Mother of the church will bring it to his attention. Now COGIC I am really not surprised because they dont have the truth anyway. I think they just wanted to bring somebody on to get attention.

  12. Kingdom Says:

It was those victorious secrets that got him in trouble before!

  13. Sis. Keya Says:

As for Jamal Bryant… We really should be NO LONGER surprised at his antics, gimmicks, etc. Let us pray for the souls who sits under him who TRULY don’t know any better.

  14. Sis. Keya Says:

    Reprobates!
    Compromising the Word!
    Heady!
VIP Reception after the concert?? For Whom??

Did you see the rostrum? I was at a Youth Congress early last year for COOLJC (Churches of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith) and Hezekiah was one of the guest speakers.

I had to work the alter so I’m more spiritually vigilant when I’m working. I watch him emotionally molest the youth that were in attendance; he preached that we can find elevation in OURSELVES…I was waiting for him to get to the God part; the Jesus part of the sermon but he did not. He jumps from the pulpit to pew area and started standing on the chairs…. like he was Doug E. Fresh trying to rock the crowd!

My spirit was VEXED and I begin to war. At alter call every gay male in there came RUNNING to the alter like Scarlet Ohara running out of a burning building. NO one was delivered that afternoon. It was painful. I was utterly bothered by the young man with the super pointed shoes and mohawk following him around wiping the sweat off his neck….My God have mercy on us.

I’ll get off my soapbox now.

  15. daughter Says:

Guess who will be officiating the installation of Kim Burell as pastor? Read the invitation above:

Dr. White has served the Church Of God In Christ as a member of the National Trustee Board and Vice President of the International Music Department (2000-2008). Recently, Dr. White was elected as the Financial Secretary for the Church of God in Christ.

COGIC does not support female pastors, but its okay if its national staff members install female pastors.
Blake needs to get his boys in check!

  16. daughterofzion Says:

Did anyone read that invitation for her installation service as pastor? I can’t believe that Dr. Frank A. White is her installation minister…He is a national secretary of COGIC. COGIC does not support women pastors but its okay if their leading staff installs women pastors. Blake needs to get his boys in line!
Frank White is such an anointed preacher–I can’t believe he would put her in place–I’m COGIC and from houston by the way–Kim Burell’s dad has been pastoring for decades but I don’t think that makes you called to be a pastor

    See below–taken from his website:

“Dr. White has served the Church Of God In Christ as a member of the National Trustee Board and Vice President of the International Music Department (2000-2008). Recently, Dr. White was elected as the Financial Secretary for the Church of God in Christ.”

    • Stavonna Says:

This is why people do not take Chirstians seriously!! There are more black people as Chirstians than any other race!! This is sad!! When is the church going to offer up a sweet smell to God’s nostrils instead of a fowl oror?!?!?!?! ITS SAD I JUST PRAY THE WILL OF GOD N MY LIFE AND FOR HIME TO TAKE EVERYTHING THATS NOT LIKE HIM OUT!! CAUSE I WANT TO BE CAUGHT UP TO MEET HTE LROD ON THAT GREAT DAY!!

  17. daughterofzion Says:

I can’t believe that Dr. Frank A. White will be installing Kim Burrell. I cannot believe this.

Did anyone read the flier for her pastoral installation service?

Frank White is the COGIC national/state secretary assistant person–he just preached at a service I went to–yep, I’m COGIC and I can’t believe that Blake can’t even keep his boys in line, COGIC does not support women pastors but it’s okay if the bishops’ main people go out and inaugurate people. I can’t lie that he is fairly anointed–I got delivered from a demon that night–so this seems weird that he would support this

I took this from Franik A. White’s website: –see below

“Dr. White has served the Church Of God In Christ as a member of the National Trustee Board and Vice President of the International Music Department (2000-2008). Recently, Dr. White was elected as the Financial Secretary for the Church of God in Christ.”

  18. Cop Says:

Funny how on Jamal Bryant’s web site they don’t mention his FAILED marriage, his ADULTRY, or his NOT WANTING to pay child support to the woman in which he had an affair after she give birth to THIER CHILD.

But it does mention his Dotorate which he DIDN’T RECIEVE FROM OXFORD UNIVERSITY IN ENGLAND. As a graduate of The Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend, Indiana you are ALLOWED TO VISIT Oxford university for a few weeks.

Oh, by the way. The Graduate Theological Foundation is an unaccredited online school.

He needs to run and tell THAT SECRET.

  19. Emanuel Says:

Pastor Lewis, I know God has commanded your mouth to speak with authority concerning these issues. All too often the people of God tread lightly on the subjects concerning the heart, Holiness and prosperity. All of these, plus other issues, are under the spirit of Idolatry. When Moses found the children worshiping the Golden Calf, they were left with wayward leaders to begin with. Aaron was compelled to meet the needs of the flesh of God’s people. He gave into their demands, their discontentment, their lust of the flesh, eyes and pride of life. He went forward without durect revelation from the Lord and commanded the people to “bring their gold” to him. He then fashioned the Golden Calf, much like today as the “mand of gawd” has fashioned the false god of prosperity, Mammon.

Because many desire their flesh to be appeased they run after the carnal things of this world, not discerning the work of the Lord in their lives. Many chase and covet after the wicked men’s things that they see in the pulpit. Its like growing up in the world and seeing the drug dealers who “gave back to the community”, riding in their lucious cars, threads costs $1000 a whop and they killing folks with their neglegence. Today the pulpit pimp has 6,000 children running around the house but like ravens they are stuffing their own mouths first…and ONLY! Wealth has and always will be a stumblingblock for God’s people. The sad part is that since we are blinded by greed and covetousness we keep trippin’ over the same it (wealth and prosperity). Thanks PAstor for coming with “what thus said the Lord.”

    • Emanuel Says:

Sorry, that last line was “The sad part is that since we are blinded by greed and covetousness we keep trippin’ over it (wealth and prosperity).”

  20. B-Jay Says:

This is taken from Kim’s Bio on Wikipedia………
Burrell was featured in a half-hour MTV special From The Church To The Charts in conjunction with the gospel themed motion picture Fighting Temptations. Among those who count Burrell as an influence are such contemporaries as Jessica Simpson,[7] Beyoncé Knowles and Faith Evans. In 2004, Burrell made an unlikely guest turn along with Kelly Price on R. Kelly’s “3-Way Phone Call” playing the part of Price’s “prayer partner” in the soap-opera-like song.[8]

There are many instances of established artists who laud Burrell:

Chaka Khan deemed Kim Burrell “one of the most interesting voices I’ve heard in a long while”.[9]
After expressing an interest in gospel music, pop singer Nelly Furtado purchased Burrell’s Everlasting Life on recommendation from Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams.[10]
In a recent interview on XM Satellite Radio, Harry Connick, Jr. said of Burrell, “if she’s not the greatest musical mind I’ve ever been around, she’s certainly up at the top of the list.” Burrell appears on Connick, Jr.’s most recent album.

    New music
Though Kim Burrell’s musical impact is widespread, she has not released a new recording since 2001′s Live In Concert and nearly a decade has passed since her 1998 national debut Everlasting Life. Details of new recordings have periodically surfaced, some of which are listed below:

In 2001, shortly after the release of Live In Concert, Kim Burrell was said to be working with Stevie Wonder, Deitrick Haddon, Chaka Khan, and Eric Dawkins on a new studio album.[3]
The long-awaited gospel compilation from Bad Boy Entertainment was slated to release May 8, 2001 featuring Kim Burrell, John P. Kee, Mary Mary, Hezekiah Walker, Fred Hammond, and Vickie Winans among other performers. To date, the project has still not been released[12] and is rumored shelved indefinitely.
Burrell collaborated with Tonéx in 2004 on some recordings for a new album.[13]
Since August 2006, according to Sony Gospel president Tara Griggs-McGee, the anticipated new studio album from Kim Burrell has been turned to plans for a live recording, though no date has been set. The live album may include several studio tracks already recorded.[14] However, since the time of that article, Sony Gospel has been merged into Columbia Records and Griggs-McGee is no longer with either label.[15]
More recently, it has been announced that she is indeed recording a new album. A recent interview[16] revealed that Burrell is planning a live recording at the Lincoln Jazz Center in New York City on December 11 and 13, 2008.[17]

Burrell released her first studio album in 11 years, entitled No Ways Tired on April 7, 2009 through Shanachie Records.[18] The album will feature covers of classic gospel songs like “My Faith Looks Up To Thee”, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”, “O Lamb Of God” and “I Surrender All”, as well as the classic James Cleveland song after which the album is named.[19]

Burrell also revealed on April 26, 2009, on K.I.N.G.(Kingdom Inspiration for a Now Generation) Talk Radio that she is planning a second 2009 album release: “…who knows…actually I plan to put out another album before the year is out…”-Kim Burrell. Those plans have since become plans for a 2010 release from Burrell. This will be Kim Burrell’s first mainstream release.

If this aint unequally yoked then I don;t know what is!! If secular people are listening to her music they are obviously not being convicted by it. SHE JUST SUNG GOSPEL BECAUSE THAT ALOUD HER TO BE BEFORE PEOPLE. EVEN THOUGH SHE SUNG SECULAR IT REALLY DIDNT ALLOW HER TO BE ON STAGE BEFORE PEOPLE BECAUSE SHE WASN’T APPEALLING. (TOO BIG) NOW THAT SHE LOST THAT WEIGHT SHE’S IS BEING ALLOWED TO COME TO THE FOREFRONT.

1 John 2:19 – They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

Cant’ wait to see you in Dallas this week. This is another example of “slick-head” eddie and “fast” freddie.God is about to start condemnation on the church just like He did in Acts. Death is about to happen in the pulpit and we (church) will finally wake up to all these crooks. Thank God he still Prophets speaking the truth in the streets.we are praying for you here in Killeen, Tx. True Light House of Prayer.

  24. Patricia Says:

All this really just grieves my spirit. I too cannot wait until Jesus returns. I joined a church recently and I am really not sure about it. I wanted so badly to be a part of a church, but now I feel out of place. The pastor says things that I do not agree with nor can I feel the power of God in there. The pastor does not believe that there are prophets of today so I am really struggling with that one. I feel that I made the wrong decision joining this church. I think that because I desired it so much I thought I heard from God. All the reasons why I should not have joined this church was there, so I really feel stupid about doing this.

    • Chuck Says:

If your spirit is in conflict in a place because of what is being taught, mt suggestion is consult God for guidance and leave that church. The word must be pure and not contaminated by man’s ideas and emotions. There are prophets in these generation and well, as might know or not, Pastor G. Craige is one of the prophets. There are countless false ones out there so discernment is key with the wisdom that comes from God. Keep your eyes on Jesus and he will direct your path. Blessing to you and may our Lord Jesus direct your path to His house so you can commune with fellow brethens as you all worship the Lord.

  25. Standing Up 4 Holiness & God's Word Says:

I was laughing at some of the comments about Jamal Bryant. I was thinking the same thing.

Mr. Bobby, I love the title of this post. Very funny.

  26. Marco Says:

The guy said it best at 1:52-1:53. “I need my heart to feel something. It ain’t feelin nothing right now”. He says this while she is in the middle of her “sermon” about your heart feeling something….
I say it all the time. God is not pleased! Just months ago she was boasting about how she was going to be doing a secular album and stuff, and now she’s about to be somebody’s pastor!!! Who called her to be a pastor!
Its sad that just because these recording artists are famous and gain a platform through their music that they turn around and think that they are supposed to be somebody’s pastor now. They know that those loyal fans will become loyal members, even when what they are doing or saying isn’t biblical.
I’m not trying to be judgmental, but I really don’t believe God called her to be a pastor. I pray she allows God to touch her heart and sit down somewhere and let somebody pastor her!

    Matthew 7:21-23 says it best:

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

  27. Glen Says:

DUMB, DUMB, DUMB!!!!! THAT ABOUT SUMS IT UP!!!!

  28. NadMarie Says:

Love the 10 Signs of a Carnal Church!! Thank God for pastors, teachers, evangelists, leaders and saints of The Most High that continue to stand for righteousness and the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

  29. Bensy Says:

Kim is going to be the pastor and has the spirit of discernment but yet collaborating with secular artists like Stevey Wonder I heard her mention on this video?? She’s only fooling herself…. If you are collaborating with the world and loving the world and yet you are trying to please God, what makes you think you’re anointed?? How can two walk together?? That’s just blasphemy!!

  30. Revelation 2:5 Says:

I read an article that quoted Spurgeon’s remark that instead of shepherds in the pulpits feeding the sheep, we would have clowns in the pulpits entertaining the goats.

Sadly ….. that day has come. :(

  31. Denise Says:

He was lookin for a reason to wear all pink, the look in his eyes is tellin me that he may be wearing some secret panties underneath. FU?

  32. Kim Worthy Says:

    Pathetic, just plain pathetic.

  33. Patricia Johnson Says:

    it happened again in Sweden

  34. marletta Says:

He’s another one who has no shame in his game. You gotta give him the crown for being the master of gimmicks! Victorious Secrets?!? smh

  35. mary smith Says:

Pastor Craige I have a question about how the offerings age taken in my church..In my church my Bishop takes up 3 offerings at each service. One for the tithe, second is the Bishop’s offering and third is at the end of the sermon where seed is sown into the spoken word which he say’s god told him to take up this last offering this way. Now the assistant Pastors and Elder who sometimes take up these offerings like this say that it is right and biblical..Can you just shine some light on this for me. I guess thus would probably fall under #9 of A Carnal Church.

  36. Your brother in Christ. Says:

In other news: The body of Christ is expanding all for the glory of God, even those who reject God and “fake and shake” in the church glory still will be brought to Him because he said it in his word that they would do such. All across the earth are real men and women of God choosing not to compromise but bear witness to Christ message, because it is working in their life. In other news: God is raising up people(because its clear he’s not going to give up on this generation) that is going to stand for the word of truth, and proclaim his message to those who dont know Him all before its to late. God is in control, all of this has to happen only to demonstrate his greater glory.

    • jj Says:

Amen brother! There churches all over this world that are impacting communities for Jesus, and even as I type this many of them are coming to mind. The Church is the most powerful force on the earth, and the local church is still the hope for this world!

  37. ElderLS Says:

He’s smiling like he already wears the VS attire!!!

  38. Jan. W. Says:

LOL!! Victorious Secrets? What is he going to do? Come out on the stage in a pair of swimming trunks with a pair of wings attached to his back, is that what he, Jamal Bryant is going to do on his tour? How can he talk about God when he needs to be saved? Using secular labels to attempt to draw folks in is not of God! God is original and he is a Creator not an imitator….. Satan is! This man has gone off the deep end with this nonsense! If you are a real Pastor, you don’t have to result to ‘catchy word phrases, and tricks to minister to people.

  39. alli brerry Says:

take a look at this site:

    (no links)

I would flip if I ever saw my pastor looking like that…I mean, what a disrespect to God. It breaks my heart, and it gets me mad. Let’s pray, and watch and defend the Faith.

Maybe it was an old site, but even so, if she’s going into ministry…never mind, i cant even convince myself that that website is justified for a Minister of the Gospel.

Reply: That is her latest website. Sad I know.

    • CHOZENBY3 Says:

      @Alli,
Please e-mail me (chozenby3@yahoo.com) a copy of the link (only certain ones are allowed here). I want to see what you are talking about. Thnx and GOD Bless.

  40. J.R. Massey Says:

This is a simple case of the parable of wheat and tare….I wonder if you have to destroy part of the crop by uprooting the tare, or let them grow together until harvest…As long as we have watchmen like Pastor Lewis, we can avoid these pitfalls if we take heed to the word coming from the Holy Spirit. This shows us that the Savior is coming sooner than later!!!

  41. Miranda Says:

Victorious Secrets???? *blank stare* What a clown.

  42. LaVerne Says:

I went to Jamal’s website as well…did anyone else find his statement of throwing out everything old about church as being rather arrogant or was that just me?

  43. Camille Says:

I see the sodomite spirit working in him

  44. Big Jon Says:

When I saw the title in my e-mail I thought JB was in a Victoria’s Secret ad. Is he wearing pink pants too?

Also, why does the installation of a pastor require an entire weekend celebration with a concert and VIP reception? Around here, we do an afternoon Sunday worship service with the new minister preaching their inagural sermon. Then we have a FREE potluck in the fellowship hall which is OPEN TO EVERYONE. I don’t know what the deal is with this VIP thing. Church is no place for cliques and in-crowds.

  45. annoy Says:

I am new to the site; however, I live in Dallas and looking forward to seeing you in Arlington on Friday! Question to G. Craig…..are you a pastor? If so where do you worship/pastor? I would love to attend. Thanks.

REPLY: We will keep you posted.

  46. Ellis Says:

The Jamal Bryant thing, GAY. Kim Burell, so not called by God to lead.

  47. hvnbound Says:

Ooo K um…Kim is talking about discernment, but why didn’t she discern that she is in the midst of some mess…Victorious Secrets?!!! You gotta be kidding me…I wish she would discern she needs to go back to square one.

    • Chuck Says:

The idea is to get a lot of women following her on her side. Do I hear manipulation coming and since when is handing out pastor titles easy just like that? There is heavy deception in the air. Lord help us all.

  48. MS.T Says:

GAY…. SORRY JUST SAYING EXACTLY WHAT I SEE GAY… GAY…GAY…. AND PEOPLE STILL SIT UNDER THIS JERK….SORRY IT IS WHAT IT IS

  49. Elder Kelvin Graves Says:

    OH MAN…MORE FOOLISHNESS

  50. Jeanne Says:

Pimps & hoochies pastoring churches! I believe Pastor Craige said something to that affect in his earlier DVD’s. Jamal and Kim DO NOT REPRESENT TRUE CHRISTIANITY. They are CARNAL, and CARNAL CHRISTIANS will NOT be in heaven. Anyone who follow these two wicked people are only looking to condone their own ungodly lifestyles. The ten signs of a carnal church is right on!

  51. Bryann Says:

Here they go again , no surprise ! This is what they do and it will get worst because the more they fall away from Christ the more they act and sound like their father Satan !

  52. Aisha Cunningham Says:

Wait! I just took a real look at that pic on top….Does this guy have on a pink tie and print sweater? Now just wait a minute! This is silly! “Victorious Secret” really? Sometimes, I just wish Jesus himself would come down and smart the taste out of some peoples mouths lol. Its just a game to so many people and its pathetic. We crack jokes but in all seriousness, sooooooo many souls are lost while these wolves in shepherds clothing help deliever God’s sheep to the devourer. I believe that some of these people on the forefront know what their assignments are and are undercover double agents. Think about that for a second folks.

  53. prophet Says:

Victorious Secrets??? I wonder if Jamal Bryant means his going to come out of the closet! totally disgusting and whats with all the pink!!! i think it should be called Dirty Secrets!

  54. cheryl randle Says:

Thank you Pastor Lewis for truth knowledge and understanding. JESUS said in his word……..If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you Free !!!! amen

  55. Tina.G. Says:

First, I would like to say: What a shame! Wow
Pastor Craige, if i’m not mistaken you said in one of the DVD’s that you sometimes
feel alot like Jeremiah, and I believe that…because when God called you to do this
work and exspose the enemy like you have…with proof…And the so-called church
leaders come up against you…That let’s me know you are on the right track.
I thank Jesus Christ for this ministry…It has truly been and eye opener and I share
it every chance I get…And let them know it’s up to them if they want the truth or not.
Not that those of you who follow Exministries don’t know…But it’s real y’all, it’s real!!!!
    To God Be The Glory!!!!

    • Diashecia Says:

Amen Tina G. Praise the Lord for HIS precious truth. I thank HIM for exministries. The world will hate you when you are a true representation of CHRIST.

  56. JC Says:

    Nasty minded…….pathetic

    • JC Says:

he’s looking kinda fruity on that pic

      • Stephanieb Says:

Yeah, he’s looking fruitier than a bag of Skittles in that pink sweater. I tell ya, I don’t know what say about Jamal or Kim anymore except IDIOTS!!!!!!! Truly the spirit of DUMB, which unfortunately seems to be spreading like wildfire these days!!!!

  57. nathaniel b Says:

I know this has nothing to do with this article but need some help. Lately I know God has been telling me that I need to fast too make my flesh submit, but I have never fasted before. I want to do it right, can anyone point me to the right scriptures, what do I need to deny my body of?

    • Pastor Joe Green Says:

@ Nathaniel b, fasting is to deny yourself of food. I hear other people say that you can fast other things like TV, but I have never seen any other types of fast in the Bible. It is something that truly helps in our spiritual walk with God. It is important that you build yourself up to it if you have never done it before. There are several types of fast but we usually encourage either a fast of nothing but liquids (preferably just water), the Daniel fast is basically just fruits, vegetables, and water. Some people during this time of the year simply fast during the day light hours. You should eventually try to build up to a water only fast but I believe that the more you press in the more God will strengthen you. Even if you start off by just fasting one meal a day I believe you will begin to feel yourself growing stronger in the Lord.

By the way while you are fasting make sure that you read the Bible and spend some time in prayer. It is important that you feed your spirit while denying your flesh. I hope that helps you some. Praise and worship music and Biblical teaching is also helpful while fasting.

    • Rochelle Says:

Read Isaiah 58. I would start off slowly if you have never fasted before, maybe a half day fast (from 6am-6pm) drinking liquids (juices, water, broth).
When you fast you must also look to deny yourself of worldly influences (TV, movies, etc.) and replace those times with prayer and reading your Bible. As you begin to pray, God may give you more grace to fast longer and instruct you on how you should do it.

Jentzen Franklin has a book called Fasting which is very good, also
John Piper A Hunger for God: Desiring God through Fasting and Prayer

    • prayrwarrior Says:

The thing it craves most. For me, that is food. I love to eat, late into the evening. But now, after 3pm, no food. Yesterday was rough for me but I made it through the temptation by praying. My church is doing this for the week but I am prayerfully considering doing this from now on. If it’s food, give it up (with a doctor’s supervision, of course). If it’s Wii, give it up, if it’s Hellivision or Helli-iPhone, give it up. Make sure you are in prayer and connecting with the LORD, you talking to HIM and HE talking to you.You can only do it that way. GOD bless your fast.

    • Big Jon Says:

Read Daniel 1 (the whole chapter) and Matthew 6:16-18.

    • Elder Harold Edwards Says:

The best example I can give you is christ in matt 4 vs 1-2 you have part 1 the spirit is leading you to fast, secondly like or example christ the best fast is without food because it gives the greatest level of denying you flesh, but seek a physician to see how long you can go without food, if you have medical problems you can engage in partial fasts meaning absatining from certain foods as in daniel in 1:12 where he just ate vegetables and drunk water and daniel 10:3 where he ate no pleasant thing I.e vegetables and water again, thirdly he went to a desert, you don’t have to go to an actual desert but try your best to quiet outside distractions like non business phone calls, internet, televison , music etc be where you can here from God, Also start small don’t just try to start with 40.21, or even 10 day fasts start with maybe a 12- 36 hour fast and then increase in length , but the whole purpose is to queit the voice of the flesh and increase te voice of God pleae email me at HaroldedwardsII@aol.com I want to know how you have progressed i HOPE I HAVE HELPED

    • Bolaji Says:

Hey Nathaniel B, G. Craige Lewis has some really good sermons on “fasting.” Go the the exministries.com, and click on A Ture Chruch Persepctive. There are 3 or 4 really good sermons that I believe can be a blessing to anybody.

    • J.R. Massey Says:

Fasting according to scripture is equal to afflicting your soul(Lev. 23:27; Psa. 69:10; Isa. 58:5-7) Simply this means no eating or drinking anything. Isaiah 58:1-12 is the best text on how to fast, and the benefits of a true fast. During a fast, your time should be spent praying, watching, reading the Bible, meditating on the word, and doing things related to perfecting your walk with the Father. I recommend eliminating watching TV and other media that don’t relate to this walk when fasting. Hope this little bit helps! Peace and Love…

    • Your brother in Christ. Says:

I’m for fasting, for the right purpose, and Holy Spirit lead but we have to dig into God’s word more added with prayer, thats how we learn how to walk and to do right, because its obvious we dont know enough of the word of God, enough to resist our flesh and the devil and the world, and paul made it clear that the word of God is our only offensive weapon. The word of God teaches us how to live so we have read it and we have to intensify our study in it. God doesn’t allow growth in us for many reason, but these are the two top reason I think so we wont lift up in pride and so He can demonstrate his greater glory. Our desire should be to learn about God and who He is to us. He’s a deliverer but how will we know that for ourselves if we dont study his word and find out how he delivered his people and what their current situation was. :) I think we can help each other out Nathan, I just started this one year read through the bible set calender, which I am committed to doing maybe you should join it, if your up for it.:) God doesn’t turn away those who seek him. He has to teach us how to learn, and teach us about Himself, and along the walk of the santification process (which is a lifetime of faith) we will grow in the characteristics of Christ, which is his plan for our life. We have to learn to learn, and we will only learn by experience. I say go for it, step out in faith and just do it, your not going to get it right the first time but your commitment in your relationship with Christ is going to keep you going forward even when your pushed back, God is going to guide us through the learning period. I say this as a fellow young believer to another. blessings to you bro.

      • Stephanieb Says:

I’ve started the one year bible read through as well. I am currently reading the One Year Bible and it’s awesome and I am able to pick up on things that I didn’t the first few times around. I think it’s a great way to start the new year, with the Word!!!!

        • Your brother in Christ. Says:

It is! And its something you can do every year and something you can in still in your family. I just started in Ezra and Acts and its like, “Wow God I really don’t know your word.lol” I’m excited about it, and God is just fueling that excitement. He will encourage you to do it; thats one of the awesome things about our Lord.

          • nathaniel b Says:

Praise God for this site and praise God for everyone on here. I can’t thank everyone enough for your help. I will start slow, 7 days that is the number that always comes to mind. I will be sure to e-mail you Elder Harold Edwards as well a post on here my progress. My God continue to strengthen us all and keep us on the correct path. God Bless you all.

  58. Ms. Z Says:

Jamal Bryant and Kim Burrell – there are no words for that foolishness. Everyone is pimping these days as the other money sources dry up. I watched Kim B. judge on the BET Gospel Competition and she was very harsh at times.

Thanks Pastor for the list and message. It is so timely, I have been so frustrated in my search for a church fellowship. I pretty much gave up last year but, after much prayer, the Holy Spirit has directed me to a couple of local churches. I will have your list in my purse when I visit. Not to get off topic but, one note on #4 – some of us Ladies like to wear our hair as God gave us, natural without chemicals. I am a happy nappy who keeps it neat, chic and professional every day. I got your point but, let’s not equate wearing natural hair with being unclean or dirty. Especially as more black women are opting to go natural (risking job loss or having to file lawsuits) to free themselves from the bondage of weaves, chemical burns and hair breakage. I cannot tell you how liberating it is to wear your hair natural despite European Beauty being celebrated as ideal. Not hating on those that go that route. I just had to speak on it, since it is an issue for too many black women. I think low self esteem in our community is one of the contributors to the spiritual apathy that is running rampant as it leads to bad decisions and destructive behaviour. So many have given up hope.

Keep up the good work! Your website is such a beacon of hope. May God continue to bless you, your family and staff! Thank you.

    • Jade Says:

What I got from that was him talking about not taking care of your hair. He is going from one extreme to next. All did up like you going to the club, to looking like you just rolled out of bed. Relaxed and and unkempt hair can look “nappy” too. He is not speaking of the hair texture.

      Hope this helps.

  59. Diashecia Says:

    Kim Burell seems witchified..OOoow and that smile…. : (

  60. Gabrielle Says:

WOW! WOW! WOW! You hit it right on the head! Just the other day I was telling my husband how disappointed I am with the church. I feel as if, folks aren’t as serious as they need to be. It makes me feel so sad and soooooooo very alone! I would visit different churches looking for a church home and during the service, the pastor would say something that is totally off the wall causing me to feel like it’s time to move on. For example, the last church I visited, as the pastor preached his sermon, he began saying, if a person commits suicide they still have a chance to make it into heaven. Then after service as my daughter and I spoke with his wife, the pastor begins speaking with one of the sisters of the church saying, “Somebody put a note on my door asking for me to pay their heating bill!!!! I ain’t finna pay that!!! They have places that help for that!!!” I was sooooo very shocked because it was FREEZING OUTSIDE and thought of this person not having heat to warm their family up was beyond me! I felt he should’ve took up a special offering for that person’s heating bill then told them of the government agency that helped out with utility bills. Pastor Craige, I’m at the point of seriously looking foward to the RAPTURE so the worries of this world can really and truely be over! (Sorry for writing a novel but, I’m sooo tired of folks taking GOD as a joke!! And I needed to vent *lol* )

    • Stephanieb Says:

I feel the same way you do Gabrielle. I am finding it harder these days to find people who are serious about God and living their lives for him. I have even had to cut off friends, to the point where I basically have none, in order to find those who are really serious about their faith. My church is rather small and has mostly older people in it, which doesn’t make it any easier, and sometimes I get discouraged because many of the churches out here today are a straight up JOKE! I am ready for Jesus to come back too because I am getting tired of dealing with hateful, ignorant people who are bent on not changing and are hating on you because you don’t buy their mess. My salvation is too important to deal with crap like that, and I say that from 2011 forward, I’m not going to deal with either.

    • Chuck Says:

I hear you Ms. Gabrielle. Unfortunately, we are in that time….so all I can say is keep your eyes on God because the deceptors seems to be more than the true ministers of God. Time is very short indeed.

  61. Leonard Says:

This is crazy! What’s next pastors getting a contract with hugh hefner.

    • Stephanieb Says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens, especially from Jamal! Tryin’ to save the Playboy Bunnies, :)

  62. lapreghiera Says:

How does Frank A. White have authority to install a pastor, let alone a woman pastor in COGIC (if it is a COGIC)?? Or is he just the guest speaker, is that what that is saying?? I am aalllll perplexed….

  63. Bolaji Says:

Is this a joke, Victorious Secrets? He cannot be serious. This is beyond foolishness. I wonder what stays on his mind.
and.. I don’t need elavation, I take pride in my lowly positions.
and.. I thaught the Bible was an univeral messages, I can’t use their messages on how to make it in stuggling times, cause im not stuggling. Yea we have to deal with demons buts thats just part of the job.

Kim Burrell in this clip is so blahh.. the man in the background said he was opening up his heart to her, and she said she did not have anything to put in his heart. She said he has to make up what he wants to fell. What? Thats psyco.

  64. Darron Says:

    Seriously Jamal. Please sit down.

  65. Ashia Miller Says:

Victorious Secrets?!….wow…. I thought I heard it all….. Smh. PRAY!!

  66. someguy Says:

Good guidelines. Especially like “If he’s wearing an earing, don’t get out of the car.” Haha

  67. lady_of_God Says:

Wow!!! I went to Pastor Jamal Bryant’s page and my mouth dropped!!! Lord I know you will be coming real SOON!!!!

    • releasing_the_chains Says:

@ LADY OF GOD — Yeah, I did too and I took this expert from his bio page:
“Dr. Jamal-Harrison Bryant has broken the stereotype of yesterday’s clergyman. He is the leader of a new breed of ministers who embrace the idea of CAPITALIZING ON THE EVER-INCREASING MARKETPLACE of Internet and technological innovations TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL.”

      Hmmmm… let’s go to John 2:13-17
” 13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.””

They exploited God house then & Jesus turned the place upside down, so why do these “ministers” think they’re gonna get away with doing it now & that Jesus won’t be back to do the same !?!?!? MY GOD!!!….

  68. JulesC Says:

This brother Jamal will get on any platform he can all in the name of fame.

    • Gabrielle Says:

So true. I was so very disgusted seeing him on Omarosa’s Show. SMH this is the stuff that has non believers not take Christ serious. Bec those who call themselves Christians are making a mockery of the truth!

      • ANOINTEDFORCHANGE Says:

First & foremost Thank God for using EXMINISTRIES to expose individuals and their agenda’s to exploit people that want God. As was mentioned these carnal churches are simply dens of iniquites where the Holy Spirit is not present and it is flesh on parade. Take me back to the ole land mark, where it was a made up mind to live Holy. In this new dispensation people are more interested in how many people can be manipulated then souls being saved at all. I thank God for knowing the Lord in my youth back in the 70′s when there were true examples of Godly men and women. If the true Holy Ghost abides you will not be deceived by this insanity taking place it is a mockery and God will judge! Thanks for the list, but the Holy Ghost will lead, guide and direct you to the truth. I am grateful for this ministry and tell everyone how
God uses it to expose the truth. May God continue to bless, protect& keep You.
