Watching this video makes me greatful to God for receiving a fresh Word every week. I am at a loss for words when I see how folks actually got that morning, put on clothes, and fought traffic just to sit down and listen to this foolishness. To those who do not see a problem with this heretical rant which is clearly blatant, don’t waist your time commenting. Shaking My Head

This is nothing new, Jamal Bryant coined this foolishness first.
I attended this church for a few months back in 2004. Something kept preventing me from going to the front of the “sanctuary” and joining, though this “pastor” used emotional manipulation to try and get people to commit. You see, he demands a copy of your W2 at once you do become a member. At the time I didn’t know it but God kept tugging on my sleeve, pulling me away from this assembly. Finally I just decided to stop going and haven’t looked back since. I am truly thankful to the Most High for this. I later found out that Vernon admitted (to a friend of mine) that there was “money to be made off these folks”. *smh* So glad I was not caught up and even MORE glad that God gave me the discernment to stay away from the apostasy that takes place in many churches today.
Didn’t get a chance to see either video, but I’ll take your word for it. If it’s the one where he’s telling his congregation to say, “f you”, then I did see it but think he could have used the ‘forgiveness’ word in a better way.
What are we to do? This is aggrevating! There are certainly more “pastors” who will jump on this and begin using it. These preachers are becoming like the three stooges. Too bad there is no Mo to pop him in the head for doing something so stupid. Somebody in the congregation is going to hurt, trying to be cute.

Entertainment thats all it is. I used to go to a church and the pastor would say ” big things poppin and lil things stopping.” All the time. Everyone would cheer but then the pastor would say theres saints and aints in his congeration. I had stop going. I dont understand the church anymore its a mess. But honestly I think we are to concerned with foolishness. This site is a good site but its mostly about exposing foolishness but most of us are just as foolish as the people exposed on here.

If your supervisor, co-worker, or just some random person in the street were to do something offensive to you, and if you were to turn to them and say “F.U.”, what do you suppose will happen or what do you think they’re interpretation would be of “F.U.”??? Would those persons automatically know that “F.U.” is what RA Vernon calls the new terminology meaning “Forgive You”? We can probably assume they probably would take “F.U.” meaning what everybody in the world already knows what it means. So, we can assume that if you said “F.U.” to those individuals I named above that you’ll either be; 1. unemployed; 2. written up; 3. probably get into some form of verbal or physical altercation.

I truly appreciate your post as I was thinking the same thing while listening to the clip. I lost count at the number of times this man said it!! Everytime he did I felt dirty and violated. I think I need to take a shower now….smh

What I am about to say isn’t to lash out at you in support of your pastor, but when you said that no man is perfect except Christ, we’re decieving ourselves. I don’t believe you really believe that, but this is what we’re taught to believe in 95% of all churchs across this country. The “No man is perfect except Christ” is used much in the same way as “Judge not that ye be not judged (Matt 7:1)”, which is just an excuse people who are sinning or living in sin use in attempt to make themselves still feel worthy of the promises of God.
We who call ourselves believers must be perfectt in every aspect and way if we are expecting to go back to Heaven when Jesus returns. Here’s two scriptures that throws that “no man is perfect except for Christ” belief and teaching out the window.
Matthews 5:48 says, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
Ephesians 5:27 “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a Glorious church, not having Spot, or Wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without Blemish. “
THANK YOU… totally agree with it on being perfect……i have been saying this for years that you (a CHRISTIAN) can be perfect and people were looking at me as if im crazy-saying nobody is perfect…But then i would ask them a question”Why would GOD give us a command or tell us to be perfect if it is impossible to do? Why would GOD say it then if it cant be done, his WORD is not void? Then they start looking dumb oh yeah you have a point……oh yeah i know. Thats just an excuse to use when you catch’em in their sin!!!!! how is it that you can spot a child of GOD….its gotta be something differently about them to know that they are HIS/ in CHRIST….because they are walking perfectly in HIM

I am gald your brought that up about Pastor RA Vernons other series. I rarely look at Christian TV (World, TBN, etc.) but occassionally I go to the Word Network to see what’s the newest lies these clowns are feeding their flocks. Last weekend I was flipping through the channels and saw RA Vernon speaking at what appeared to be a men’s conference at his church. Now some of what he said was on point but it’s how he said it. He said that when men are in the world sleeping around with every woman and doing all these sexual things in bed with these women, but then get married, that they want their wives to do the same sexual things in bed. Now, RA didn’t use the language I am using but he used many sexual terms of world and inuendos to describe these sexual acts which gave a very, very, vivid picture of these sexual acts.
I just want to say anyone who goes to his church, I don’t care how many electric bills RA Vernon has paid, how many gas cards he has handed out, or how many homeless and need persons he has feed on Thanksgiving, but when a pastor uses alot of sexual inuendos, gimmicks, and manipulative sermons, it’s one of the tell tale signs of a CARNAL church.

I saw the headline of this and meant to watch it yesterday on here but then today I saw as a post on FB. I went back into here and I knew it was the same video. I watched the video and was not happy. My spirit did not agree with this but other folks seemed to like it calling it awesome and it made me feel that something was wrong with me. I thought about it again and went and commented on my friend’s page I know this message is not right I understand the concept of forgiveness but we all know as a previous poster say when we say F-u we don’t think of forgiveness. I know because when I was in the world I used this term. There was no need for this man to use this inappropriate term in his sermon and try to empower the people with this nonsense. SMH you really have to know the Word for yourself and discern what is right and wrong in some of these messages today.

This is a travesty, sham, and mockery of truth, a traveshamockery! I had the unfortunate occasion to “discuss” this on FB with a couple people , who had no clue. Let’s just say that the parallel walk that gnosticism will bring is here and present. People will constantly try to make things like this seem okay and many will buy into it. Nowadays these so called “Pastors” have ceased to shock me. My anger and frustration is aimed toward the blind and dumb sheep who allow themselves to be deceived. See, when you don’t know the Word and are not filled with the Spirit, you entertain foolishness like this. For lack of knowledge, people are perishing!!! “Turn to your neighbor and say FU too”??? I would have been like HECK NO..and had some words for “Pastor” Vernon after this speech (not sermon). When will the body of Christ begin to seek the truth and the UNADULTERATED Word of God again???
Sinners would see this and say, what is the need to repent and get saved and to church when they can see the same thing on the streets as the church world. This is utterly beyond digusting. Little kids would just think he is plain cursing. is ther any real pastors left whom you can count on your fingers and toes who uphold the true word of God/ These people and these silly members will have a lot to answer for. Whats happening to these shepherds??!! during one prayer session, one pastor was telling us we will overcome and started chanting “Yes We Can.” I was in shock, i even stopped praying, then he goes ahead to explain how obamanation overcame and we should learn from him that nothing is impossible!! Wow! shouldn’t we learn that from Jesus who said for nothing is impossible for God. Another time he started telling us to drink the blood of Jesus and kept repeating it over and over, saying we need to drink it for VITALITY!!!! among other things. I had to stop and told the Holy Spirit, if am wrong forgive me but i feel uncomfortable saying some things.

In Bible study yesterday the topic of the Rapture came up and an “elder” said she hopes she goes in the first rapture BUT if NOT yada yada then another elder says they’ll be warrior saints that will endure…i smh

first and foremost, I serve and honor Jesus Christ as my only Lord and Savior. I respect my pastor as being a man of God who is doing things a lot of churches will not even touch and believe me I know from experience. We are called to be Christlike, not to talk down on each other. A lot of us may not agree with the new defination of the f word, but evidentally it worked because people you would not believe got saved that day, and they are still coming, the word of God will change them. The only one who is perfect is the Lord. We need to spend more time teaching and reaching people about Christ instead of trying to tear down the ones reaching them.

I can not agree with foolishness for the purpose as you say (but that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose.) The Bible speaks of things to avoid 1Tim 6:20 But shun profane [and] vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. Hating on your pastor would mean that I am jealous or envy. There is One that is Jealous is name is Jealous. I have not found nor am I seeking a “perfect church” but I have found a perfect Saviour and He is the Good Shepherd. Anyone and everyone is a hireling. A hireling can be relieved of duty at any time.

My brother or sister, I have nothing more to say other than I will continue to walk down the narrow road no matter who my pastor is, I know Jesus Christ for MYSELF, I have a relationship with him MYSELF. No Man is perfect, but Christ is and I would rather spend my time, trying to be like him. There are people dying and going to hell, my brother or sister lets spend this time and energy (because I am exhausted) on trying to reach them, because when they see us going back and fourth like this they are turned off, we are the only Christ some of them see, so lets just try and be more love him. This is an example how pastors like RA and Jamal Bryant tries to use messages like this as shock value I guess to “bring” or ‘draw” people to Christ. It doesn’t work. They have to keep coming up with more and more shocking things to keep these people. Because if they didn’t the people will soon get bored and leave. That’s why Jesus said if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me. Lifting up the world or carnal things draws people to carnality.

Once again, trying to turn something worldly into something Godly. Can we please stop doing that???!! A minister at my church related a relationship with God to a womans G-spot, REALLY??? Some of us need to be delivered first, before we step foot in the pulpit!!

I read most comments (92%) and I watched the video. What I came up with is this…… Jamal Bryant(pastor) did not sell ALL of the FU shirts and this pastor offered to help get rid of them for him. A very lovely gesture from one bro. to another(LOL). However, I think it skirts too close to the world and I am uncomfortable about that. My pastor uses the word Jack***, and it makes me uncomfortable and try explaining it to an 11yr. old! Children know, my 11yr. old was not understanding it and she sees it as cursing no matter how my pastor explained the context of the use of the word. Today if you ask her about it she will still say “Pastor cussed” I sided with my daughter because no matter what, it will never be acceptable to say(FU, Jack***) to me or anybody.
Bro. Bobby no disrespect to you or the ministry (with the words in my post) I only wished to share my testimony and compare how each word is equally wicked (in origin) and how a child knows…….. how much more so the adults should know!? Thank You and God Bless.

I thought of something else. He was doing a series on relationships and said something like his wife better not be doing too much fasting but that she better get into the bedroom as fast as she could. This was in reference to abstaining from sex when fasting. He just seems to lack discretion. If my husband had said something like that about me publicly the car ride home would have been off the chain! I think he is kind of young for a pastor. He just can be very brash sometimes. He says he has a mentor. I just pray that he will be open to correction because he seems to need it.
I am pretty sad about this one because I watch him from time to time. I do not think you can take this one statement and make a blanket judgement. All of us can sometimes give into the flesh and say or do things we shouldn’t. I just hope somebody had the courage to tell him that what he said was not in anyway appropriate. It just was not right. I can tell you forgive you is not where my mind went. I use to watch him pretty regularly, but sometimes he would just come across as arrogant. I don’t know. It’s just messed up. I hope he will realize his error and make a public apology to God and the church. I only have two pastors that I watch regularly now, Charles Stanley and Herman Murray. Ultimately, I am trying to just focus on Jesus because man will always let you down because of our fallen nature. We will sin but we should repent when we come into a realization that a sin was committed. Pray for him, that God will pour a strong conviction on him. Pray for his members that they will allow the Holy Spirit and not their flesh lead them into all truth.

Thank You Ex. After reading the comments like I always do, I’m able to understand the message of why cursing is of the flesh and not God. As a young person, I always hear cursing left to right and I can’t bare it which is why I didn’t watch the video. It’s always hard to live in an ungodly world.
Honestly, after viewing that video (and I have seen this before), what struck me is that I do not believe this pastor is unaware of what he is doing (he is being deceived by the enemy – yes), yet his actions here are deliberate and I sense he has an agenda, so he’s not operating in total ignorance. I will say the same thing for ‘his’ congregation; they will go along with whatever ‘gimmick’ he uses on them because, in reality, they want the same/similar things/exorbitant lifestyle/$$$, etc. he has amassed, so they ride his “gravy train” in hopes some of that ‘gravy’ will drip on them. There is absolutely no reason for a child of God to be deceived, for God/Jesus Christ has given us instruction in His Word for avoiding deception, but we are ‘taken in’ when we follow our own lust and live this ‘self-centered’ gospel that is preached in so many ‘churches’ today (i.e. -all about ME, my blessing, my breakthrough, my miracle, my harvest, my season, yada, yada, yada…). This isn’t the first time this guy has done something outrageous and just plain out of order! Remember a few years back when his daughter, as well as he and his wife and family, were on MTV’s My Sweet 16? That was a disgrace! Yet, he had members defending his words/actions/lifestyle to the death! I just couldn’t believe it! If I had been a member of his church when this MTV fiasco was televised, I definitely would have left after that! But no, he still has lots of ‘sheeple’ shoving dump trucks full of $$$ into his coffers that enable him and his carnal (sinful) family to live their opulent lifestyle! I just don’t know about a lot of these church folk (that buy into all of this foolishness)! The Word of God tells us that by their fruits we will know them, and I, for one, see no spiritual fruit growing on this guy’s tree! And if he flaunts carnality in the pulpit, then you can only imagine what’s going on at the house…and I mean the ‘whole entire’ family here, since he, as the husband and father, is the head of his family, my Lord! I witness this in so many church leaders today! God’s Word is coming to pass, the love of many waxing cold, the falling away (apostasy), the first being last and the last being first, and on and on the Word of God tells us. No matter what, brothers and sisters in Christ, my prayer for me and all of you is that “No matter what happens, Lord, help me (and you, children of God) to live saved!” Lord, really, you are all I want, you supply my every need, and I love you so much and thank you for saving me from a sinful, hopeless life, amen!”

When I first saw this on youtube and I wasn’t even looking for it….I said to myself-> a repeat of Jamal Bryant? Brought me right back to pastor G. Craig Lewis breaking it down….how terrible that this man would do a repeat. Did he come out from under a rock? Jesus help him!

I thank Jesus for true Christians. I know My Lord Jesus, is not happy with this. That Pastor think he getting away with this, but vengence is the Lord’s!! you reap what u sow. My stomach felt so sick when I heard this so called Pastor cursing in the pulpit. They have no respect for Jesus their savior and since they have none for Jesus, they don’t have none for themselves. I stopped watching his program after listening to him teach a seminar to pastors on “how to grow their church.” In summary, he told pastors that they should not accept any preaching engagements/requests prior to checking the website of the folks requesting. If the church making the request doesn’t have a website or the website is not elaborate, they should not accept because that means accomodations will not be adequate, according to Pastor Vernon. I guess he wouldn’t be preaching at my church . . . We are a new, small church with no website. You better believe I wrote a nice email to “Pastor” Vernon after listening to him teach that foolishness to other pastors. It’s about preaching the Word of God in-season and out-season; when it’s convenient and when it’s not. Unfortunately, many Pastors these days see Christianity as a business opportunity to fatten their pockets.
What made me even mad is that when I first saw this on facebook posted, they all think it was cool except for one and myself. I told them so what happens if someone just walked in the such while he is doing is f-bombs, they will walk right out and someone commented with they just having fun. Anyone notice the checkered flag pattern behind him, that is a symbolism of illuminati or freemasons, good and evil. My guess is that he is a mason. His daugter was on MTV sweet 16. Now, that takes the cake.

I want pastors to just preach the unadulterated word of God-that is all. When you have to get into fleshly and entertaining sermons, it means there is a word famine.
This message shows where the people are at. Meaning, if they are clapping and shouting on what he is saying. He has a carnal church. Now, everyone knows what that truly means and it shows this is what the people want to truly say. They are not learing forgiveness here. They are so hyped and excited as well caught up on what he is saying with his statement, that they did not get the true message of Godly forgiveness. May the Lord open the eyes of them who sit under preachers like this. If he said this, what else will he say that does not line up with the Bible. May God also open the preachers eyes to see what is wrong with what he is saying and repent in Jesus Name, AMEN.
Oh wow…thank you to the posters who pointed out that this Preacher is the one whose daughter was featured on MTV’s My Sweet Sixteen. I just watched that episode online to see how bad/sad it was and I was not disappointed. It puts his use of a worldly derogatory word into context to me. He is still in and of the world. I haven’t commented in awhile, but when I heard this one I had to comment. Whatever happened to the fear of the Lord? Cause I would’ve been afraid to get up in the pulpit and say that, and tell everybody else to do it. I saw this on fb and after a number of church goers liked it and recommended it to other I had to ask a few questions based on the FACT that “F-U” is an INTERNATIONALLY understood cuss word:
1)If forgive is the new f-word in the church what was the old f-word?
2)If Col 3:8 is true then what is going on here?
3)If you step on my feet during the offering is “F-U” an appropriate response? and by extension if my neighbour cusses me out should I respond “B-U” or bless you?
After watching this I know that we really are winding up for the final whistle. I pray for strength for all God’s people ’cause its only going to get worse.

Just another sign that we are in the end times. As a pastor he should know better, but a lot of these churches just insist on catering to the world. This relates to yesterdays daily word about being careful who you allow to mentor you. This type of jesting may be ok for some mature christians who know each other well and have a full understanding why this is inappropriate and also forbidden in scripture;in Private conversation, although I would not ascribe to this. Nonetheless, to present it to a congregation which is made up of mature, immature, unsaved and the enemy alike is not good stewardship of the trust of dispensing of the word of God, nor is it good stewardship of the trust of shepharding and feeding God’s sheepin the private. I first heard of this yesterday on facebook as a Pastor posted it and the forthcoming comments were tainted with MORE foolish jesting. That is one of the reasons God forbade us to involve ourselves with this type of conversation: it imparts what it is and multiplies. and as we have consumed it, it makes us unclean.I agree with the earlier comment about this NOT exhibiting walking in love;

Wow, this pastor is very carnal. It’s hard to believe that he had no conviction for what he was saying. If he was filled with the holy spirit and called by God he would have been prompted by the Holy Spirit to stop and apologize to the flock. For a minute I thought he was going to come out and just say it; he seemed liked he enjoyed what he was saying and how the audience reacted… definitely a sign of carnality.

Didn’t Jamal Bryant come out with a T-shirt like this some time ago with FU on it? If one were to call/text their ex’s and say “FU” they wouldn’t think of the word forgive because here in the US it is not understood to mean that. Then it would be even worse because they would have told them they were in church, which would turn people away from God (probably his true intention whether aware or not). Can you all imagine a child saying “FU” to their parent(s) because they heard this sermon? Then why would you say to a child “FU” if that child’s parents or family doesn’t like you? Is that what the Bible teaches us to do? No. If an adult wouldn’t think of the word forgive then why would a child? And what’s with that checkerboard background? Isn’t that masonic? I wouldn’t be surprised.

Straight out of the book of J. Bryant (yeah I said it!). It is the blind leading the blind, and those poor people in the church jumping and shouting “F You!” WHAT?!? God is so not in that. This man stood up there and said to text everyone, “tell them you’re in church and F you”. I can only smh and pray for God’s people if they think this is acceptable. Romans 12:1-2 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
Most important part to me: “And be NOT conformed to this world…”
This is also the same pastor who allowed his sixteen year old daughter to have a sweet sixteen party and have it taped, by the MTV Sweet Sixteen show, on this show she had her birthday party at the Hard Rock Cafe, arrived in his private jet, and rode in on a mortcycle, you could just see so much of the world in this show,you would have not known he was a preacher.
That sermon wasn’t funny. What’s funny is the church the pastor preaches at has the audacity to call itself The “Word” Church…

@LaToya, Galatians 5:13 says 13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Most Christians misunderstand Christian freedom, and its obvious that this Pastor doesn’t have a clue. He operated in GROSS ERROR of judgement. The law of love always trumps our christian freedom and personal rights to act out in perceived gray areas that scripture may not specifically to the letter put its finger on. This Pastor thought he was exercising his God given Christian freedom and used a saying that EVERYBODY ON PLANET EARTH KNOWS is profanity, to try and sound cool and hip. Totally overlooking the fact that there may be some that are weak or carnal in the faith. He’s the same type of Pastor that will play PARLIMENT/FUNKADELIC’S FLASH LIGHT during offering, but have the choir singing GOD’S LIGHT, and think it’s ok.
LaToya, here’s a grid of questions that if that Pastor would have asked himself before he opened his mouth, would have understood that Christian Freedom has boundaries that should always be considered. Number 4,5,6 and 7 would have stop him in his tracks!
HERE’S A GRID OF QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF…ABOUT ANYTHING
1.Will it benefit me spiritually?
All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify. (1 Cor. 10:23) A “profitable” thing is useful, helpful, or to your advantage to do; and the idea behind “edify” is to build up spiritually. So based on this verse, ask yourself, “Will doing this enhance my spiritual life? Will it cultivate godliness? Will it build me up spiritually?” If not, you should seriously question whether that behavior is the best choice.
2.Will it bring bondage?
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. (1 Cor. 6:12) In the second part of this verse, Paul is saying, “I will not be brought under the power of anything.” If what you are considering can be habit forming, why pursue it? Don’t allow yourself to be in bondage to anything or anyone. You are a bond-servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him alone.
3.Will it defile God’s temple?
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. (1 Cor. 6:19-20)
Don’t do anything that you know will harm your body or bring shame–it is the only instrument you have to glorify God. Romans 6:13 says, “Present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.” How you choose to use your body should always reflect your concern to honor Jesus Christ.
4.Will it cause anyone to stumble?
Food will not commend us to God; we are neither the worse if we do not eat, nor the better if we do eat. But take care lest this liberty of yours somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. (1 Cor. 8:8-9)
This is the principle of love. As Romans 13:10 says: “Love does no wrong to a neighbor; love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.” If you know that your choice–what you consider “in bounds” and approved–causes another Christian to stumble and sin, love that brother or sister enough to restrict your own freedom. That is not very popular in our self-absorbed society, but it is biblical. To continue to indulge in a legitimate freedom that causes problems for another Christian is a sin. For “by sinning against the brethren and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore,” Paul said, “if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, that I might not cause my brother to stumble.” (1 Cor. 8:12-13)
5.Will it further the cause of evangelism?
Give no offense either to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God; just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved (1 Cor. 10:32-33).
Whether you are aware of it, what you allow or disallow in your behavior affects your witness for Christ–and the world is watching. It’s an issue of testimony–what your life says about God. Your testimony either tells the truth about God, or it tells a lie. The choices you make in the “gray” areas should reflect your concern not to bring offense to God’s reputation but to bring Him praise instead.
6.Will it violate my conscience?
He who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin (Rom. 14:23).
First Corinthians 10:25 29 contains three references to abstaining from a certain practice “for conscience sake.” Never train yourself to violate your conscience. If your conscience is troubled by what you consider, don’t do it. If you aren’t sure about it, don’t do it. It is hard to overstate the value of a clean conscience, but it is worth keeping your conscience clear so that your relationship to God will not be hindered. If you’ll keep yourself in prayer and the study of God’s Word, you will inform your conscience so you can “walk as children of light…finding out what is acceptable to the Lord” (Eph. 5:8, 10).
7.Will it bring glory to God?
Therefore, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Cor. 10:31).
That verse is clearly both the summary and the goal of all the principles I’ve shared. Isn’t our heart’s cry to glorify our Lord and Savior with our lives? This is so carnally minded. Why even allude to something that is considered profanity? Why even hint at it and make light of it? Why even go there–at all? Why put the congregants in the mindset of profanity or suggestion of it? I thought we were supposed to renewing our minds and our conversations and how we think and speak (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:21-24; 1 Peter 1:15). Thanks EXM. I have issues with this, too.

While I believe the Lord alone can judge “people” and their motives, we certainly can judge their “actions” by the Word of God, and as they say nowadays, “That’s just wrong.” From my observation over the last few years since learning of EX Ministries, all they’ve ever done is simply point out the actions of the folks in light of the Word, be they right or wrong. I desire to stand on the side of “right,” no matter who it is.

I hate fake preachers like this who try to incorporate ungodly stuff into there sermons to make people jump and laugh and act a fool. Preachers like this do not understand the calling. All he needs to do is preach the word. he doesnt need to add any extra sugar, and spice, no tricks. The word is always good as is. thats y i like Ex Ministries.

My husband and I tried to watch him a couple of times since one of our members was watching him….couldn’t do it. He talks about himself the whole time!!!! and all of the other locations of the “Word” church and how he gets from one to the other on a Sunday morning. Then when he goes into preaching, its just not there? why? because he is so full of himself! incredible foolishness.
I watched this on last night. The context in which was used, I get it. Therefore, generally speaking I dont see a problem with it. Can you please explain how is this heresy? Please understand I am not attempting to rebuke you or ex ministries. I understand the concept in which he was using it, yet I see how some may not agree with it. Furthermore, curse words in general, who decides what are curse words. Please I am not arguing with you, just want a healthy dialogue. I think the words I hate you and other sayings are more mailice than certain four letter words. Just my opinion. Again, I did not write this a rebuttal, only to generate a discussion for better understanding.

Thanks for responding. I understand, yet my original question Who determines what is profanity?! I have read an acronym once for where the f word originated from. I won’t post it because I respect this man of God (Pastor Lewis) page. However, if the acronym is true, then somewhere along the line it was perverted. Please understand I am not defending the speaker by any means. I just think at times we are quick to call things evil , profane, worldly without truly taking a look at it. Honestly, he (the speaker) may not realize that he is wrong. BUT, if he is indeed attempting to be the CEE-LO of the Gospel, then yeah I think there is some carnality in his preaching. But, if he has good intentions and is truly attempting to reach the people, I get it. Just my opinion though.
I understand. So what do we do? There are some great speakers that are in the preacher’s office with enormous platforms that you have commented on. It is almost scary the amount of influence that some of these preachers have. Please understand my heart because I truly want to get this life as a Christian right and fulfill my purpose.
Think of it like this: if you were walking down the street and accidentally bumped into me and I said “F-you”, would you walk away feeling forgiven or like I just cussed you out. How would you know. F you is originally known as the four letter word. To use that profanity in church as a replacement for”forgive you” is fleshy!
Like someone else pointed out, if he was truly trying to use the word “forgive you” why not say: “I Fyou” BUT “f-YOU”? Naw, you’re motives are questioned, and you are still wrapped in the world..smh

As I stated i am not defending, merely a question to generate dialogue. In some cultures, what we in America consider profane is not profane. Living overseas certain four letter words are just that four letter words. Like I said, I understand how some may be offended, but in GENERAL, I think we as Christians split hairs over things when their is far more important things to worry about. Just as with the rainbow, if I wore a rainbow t-shirt some may think I represent the gay community. But, the rainbow was originated from God, as a sign of his convenant. The origin of the f word is not as we know it today, and it is not fleshy. Anyway, thanks for responding.

Please study the etymology(origin) of that word. It’s got nothing to do with acronyms. It’s as fleshy as they come! It came from a Nordic word, which has the same meaning, and has been generally accepted as offensive since the 16th century, so much so that for more than 200 years, it wasn’t put in general dictionaries for fear of offending readers. Please, don’t try to redeem something that isn’t meant to be. Just my 2 cents.
AS SOON AS I SAW THE TITLE I KNEW WHAT THIS WAS. This comes from a local mega church where i am from. I was so disgusted when one of my fb friends posted this and everyone loved it! I always had a bad feeling about this church. This man is rumored to check w-2′s and tax records so that he can make sure your tithes are correct. He also preaches in jerseys and other hip hop attire. His whole plan is to reach the youth and have ppl like him. He perverted the phrase “come as you are” to mean literally come as you are that his why his service is more of a fashion show and why young kids don’t mind coming. Not to mention the skating rink basketball courts, chicken restaurant and other distractions that are a part of his building!!! Cleveland is one of the poorest and crime ridden cities there is. not to mention the way the children misbehave. He has so many services and so many members yet the community is getting worse not better! He’s got the whole city waiting on a blessing as they live in sin!! LORD HAVE MERCY! I could go on and on but i think you get the point. PRAY FOR CLEVELAND, because this man is leading everyone in the wrong direction, thank God I was not decieved by the fancy building and thatrical preaching!!
I would first like to say, that I love the teachings of minister G Craig Lewis and I have been following his teachings for over five years now, I have most of his dvd’s, I love the fact that he is real. With that said, I would also like to say that Dr. R.A. Vernon is my pastor and since I have been a member, he has never checked anyones W2′s that is a longstanding rumor and as far as the message posted above, it was a very good one, he did not curse, yes I was a little surprised, but when I see every week how many people give their lives to the Lord, I am just overwhelmed with joy because that is why we are there. I longed to see that many people get saved before joining the Word Church, I was starting to feel like the church was uneffective. People of God, please do not judge him based on a sermon clip or something you have heard, this man is the best Pastor I have been under in some years, and I have left a few churches because of it being too wordly and compromising. Dr.Vernon does not hang on to man made traditions, and he preaches nothing but the word of God. My pastor, even though preaching as many times a week as he does, just finished his doctrate degree and he encourages us to do the same, with our tithes and offerings we feed people, give away gas cards, shoes to kids in need, he has given away houses, cars, the list goes on and on… Pastors are flying in this week to learn from him. so while you looking on youtube, look at all of the good things he does, and as Christians, lets sometime join forces to do more of what God would have us to do for his kingdom. My pastors always say “Come as you are, you won’t stay as you are, and I have seen so many people who would have never walked into a traditional church give they’re lives to the Lord, went though the classes he provides and is now working in the ministry. My Pastor told us tonight to get more spiritual, work on spiritual, physical, emotional, mental and financial and “Size Does Matter” (his new book) in your prayer life. I could go on and on. I would just like to say, that I love you my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I understand what brother Craig is doing, educating us on what the devil is doing right under our noses, and what people are doing wrong in front of the world and calling it God, yes, that needs to be called out, because the world is watching us, but please, lets not take what brother Craig has worked hard for ten years to inform us and turn this into some kind of hate blog, the brother or sister who mentioned about the sugar in the tank is just wrong, get to know him through his sermons and you will see where his heart is.
