It amazes me how majority of the churches here in this nation are dead and there are very few who are seeking and doing God’s will. This type of foolishness, carnal and lukewarm Christians will say “don’t judge” “pray for them” “don’t worry about them, that’s their decision, you let God deal with that”. And you wonder why they took prayers out of schools because you have a whole a lot Christians doing lip service rather than doing. Reading the bibles on street corners, passing out Bibles, carrying posters, signs saying “Jesus is the way”, standing up against sin risking their very lives and livelihood, being bold about El Shadai and His Gospel. EX TIMES, I thank you for these postings no matter what anyone has to say, I believe the Lord is blowing the cover off of messes like this, in order for the Church who claims His name to “take a stand” and wake up by being even stronger in proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Well, in order for you to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, you have to have experienced the Power of the Holy Spirit, and these men only know of Him. If anybody gets what I am saying.
The only way that someone can blaspheme the Holy Spirit is that they were once believers, and then they stopped believing and then started to talk against HIS power. The reason why people do not receive forgiveness for the blaspheming of the Holy Spirit is because their minds have turned reprobate and THEY DO NOT SEEK FORGIVENESS!!! Their mind is so far gone and backwards and seared that they dont even feel that they need forgivess.

For the sake of dialogue and clarity, you make an interesting argument; but sometimes our writings doesn’t always convey the point we really want to get across. So, where do you get the scripture to back up that statement: “in order for you to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, you have to have experienced the Power of the Holy Spirit;” “The only way that someone can blaspheme the Holy Spirit is that they were once believers?” No, that’s not accurate. Jesus clearly states in Matthew 12:32 “Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man (Jesus) can be forgiven, but ANY-ONE who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come. Jesus makes no distinction in that passage.
I’d also like to skip down to vs 36 – 37 for those who feel they can say what they want without consequence: vs. 36 “And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. vs. 37 “The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”
It would be interesting to hear others’ interpretation of whether these lyrics are “blasphemous” or are these people just “mocking” God. Is it a thin line?

In Matthew 12:24-32, we have the story of the Pharisees who attributed the Power of the Holy Spirit working thru Jesus,as the work of the devil. That was blaspheming the Spirit of GOD. Blasphemy was committed by the Pharisees, people who professed to know the LORD or who has once known HIM, and then turned against HIM. The unredeemed, who have never known the LORD nor HIS Power, cannot blaspheme the Holy Spirit becausethey have no
True knowledge of the Spirit. (I made a mistake and touched Post comment by mistake….) The unredeemed have made no profession of Faith and cannot blaspheme or talk against one they don’t know.
In addition, when someone blasphemes the Holy Spirit, they will have no desire to serve Christ as the Pharisees had no desire to serve Christ.

Thanks for responding! This is definitely a good topic for Bible study; and there’s no shame to say it will be researched further with scriptures (hopefully) to follow. Yes, most of us understand the story that transpired in Mt 12:24-32, and I do comprehend the revelation you bring behind that scripture. With that, I can say I’m in agreement as far as how can others (unbeliever/unsaved) speak on what they don’t know and understand — as it pertains to the spiritual realm. On that note, some would consider those lyrics as simply “mocking” God……
BUT, getting back to the question at hand: By definition “blasphemy” is to speak irreverently about God (his Spirit) or Sacred things. So, can an unbeliever/unsaved/atheist speak blasphemous words against the power of the Holy Spirit? I say yes….. but with consequence.
And please don’t hesitate to share what other revelatory scripture you may have. Iron sharpens iron. (Proverbs 27:17)

Yes, Marletta. I do believe that unbelievers can speak blasphemous words, it is out of complete ignorance though. According to Luke 12:47,48, the Lord said that they will be beaten with stripes whether they know or not. It is up to us as believers to get the Gospel to them though. As I know you already know.

Actually the equivalent of blashemy of the Holy Ghost today is to reject him totally when he calls you to be saved – Heb 10:29. It cannot be committed by TRUE believers. When Jesus spoke of this sin in Mark 3, it concluded by saying that this unforgiveable sin that they committed was because they said Jesus was possessed by a devil. See verse 30. I truly believe Satan’s greatest works are much more subtle than this. Don’t misunderstand…I think this is terrible, but it is obviously unholy. However, Satan has already tricked us into mixing truth with lies and making strongholds of them in our minds. We do not see it, because of traditions that have been taken from paganism and mixed with what we believe to be holy. These things have been mixed and mingled for hundreds (some thousands) of years, and we think they are holy, when the truth is quite the contrary. These things are hidden to us. The blasphemy of these men is not.

I didnt see the pic of coco brother interviewing rick ross till now. I think lift every voice show should have been cancelled along time ago, when they started to compromise with secular artist sharing their stories. The interviews all start the same i grew up in the church. WELL the majority of us did, BUT what counts is were you getting the word and not just yelling and screaming! I have a question. The Bible states that there will be no forgiveness for blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Is this what they have done? I know Ross and PDiddy are lost but I thought that particular scripture was for Christians who turn against God and therefore blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Someone who is knowledgable about this please answer.

I have to say, many major people in the Christian entertainment community are not being honest with people like Rick Ross and Diddy. Case in point, Rick Ross and P. Diddy believe that they are saved. I saw Rick Ross on an interview with Coco Brother on BET, which his show is a “gospel” show. He was interviewing officer Ricky and he was saying how he loves the Lord and is saved. People need to tell these people, you are on your way to hell, you are filthy and depraved and a disciple of Satan. People are too scared to be bold and tell these people that, Im so sick of garbage like this being infiltrated to our youth and our culture. Rick Ross and Diddy need Jesus, its ironic how he uses the illuminati reference jokingly in this song, many ppl will probably write it off like its a joke when he is really blatantly telling you that is exactly who he is with and the “holy ghost” is satan.
