Millions of Americans oppose SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S.

Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.

The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

if u now know about it, it is because it is already here. We can not be naive ppl, iy is called the world wide web for a reason. What is the function of a web friends? To trap the spider’s prey. This is why what one reader already said is so important. The time for going thru the fire is here. If u are not ready to get burned, or tried, then get ready because the saints must go thru tribulation to become one bride without spot or blemish. This is no secret, they already know who we are. But we stand firm cause we know something One they do not, our great Savior and conquering Messiah Jesus Christ. Dont try to save ur life and lose it, lose it for His sake and u shall find it.

When you get the chance, you may want to look into the Anti-Counterfeting Trade Agreement (ACTA) and H.R. 1981.

I just came across this today – it is far worse (in terms of invading our privacy) then SOPA, because it falls under the U.N. (as I understand it) – so the only people that can vote on it are those in the U.N.

This agreement gives them the authority to track every website you go to regardless of if there is just cause. This agreement is aimed at those who peddle in child pornography (which is great), but it comes at a great expense (giving up our privacy).

    Be Blessed!
    Anthony

I saw this on google’s website. I do believe they are using this bill to shut up ministries that spread the gospel, especially those websites and preachers who REALLY preach the truth. I signed the petition against this bill because I don’t want to censor or close down websites like ex ministries and others who expose the plan and tricks of the enemy.

NDAA bill passed after Obama signed it new years day 2011!

  5. jacksopa3 says:

We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” — Acts 14:22 God’s people have their trials. It was never designed by God, that they should be untried. They were chosen in the furnace of affliction; they were never chosen to worldly peace and earthly joy. Trials are a part of our lot. He has ordained their season, intensity, and effect they shall have on us. Good men must never expect to escape troubles; for none of their predecessors have. Note well all the prophets, apostles, and martyrs, and you shall discover none of those whom God made vessels of mercy, who did not made to pass through the fire of affliction. It is ordained that the cross of trouble should be engraved on every vessel of mercy, as the royal mark whereby the King’s vessels of honour are distinguished. But although tribulation is the path of God’s children, they have the comfort of knowing that their Master has traversed it before them; they have His presence to cheer them, grace to support them, and example to teach them how to endure; and when they reach “the kingdom,” it will more than make amends for the “much tribulation” through which they passed.

  6. releasing_the_chains says:

We must really spread the word about this and be praying over this folks. The programs, music, movies & other outlets they say are being infringed upon are being posted & sponsored by the SAME companies that support SOPA/PIPA. A lot of the people and companies backing SOPA/PIPA created the piracy problem & PROFITED from it because they suggested the piracy programs as well as offering pirated downloads we are using and now they are using it against the people to either PROFIT again or began massive roundups and you know persecution is right up the same road.

Also I believe a (if not THEE) strong delusion is getting ready to take place & if they can go in & shut down sites like EX Times and others we cannot warn others on a massive scale because it will block us out, leaving only the outlets the ENEMY wants available to display execute his grand agenda..
Keep looking up saints because our redemption draws nigh!

  7. maurice says:

Man pretty soon MARSHALL LAW WILL BE IN FULL FORCE AND KNOW THAT JESUS IS ON THE AIR WAYS AND HE IS COMING SOON. SO GET READY BABY…

  8. leona bundy says:

How can they even consider this. Doing all of that is NOT going to stop online piracy! That existed before social networks did! Crazy! We really do need to pray!

  9. BT says:

Wow , we really have to start paying a little more attention to what is really going on around us ! These bills that they want to pass is an excuse and to sensor and CONTROL people ! This is actually another way for antichrist to get rid of EVERYTHING TO DO WITH JESUS CHRIST and to silence those who truly follow CHRIST !

  10. markdonna7 says:

Oooooooooooooooo This people has started, am not surprise. but am afraid, how this things will go on and on. Saint let pray hard to Father God.

  11. ERIC MORST says:

The rights to privacy and personal distribution are what is at stake. With that goes your right to free expression of religion. Gather the entertainment companies together and then you can legally push for a solitary religious system. How you ask? If the bill is passed the freedom to record and distribute information will be under governmental control. With the broad majority of Christian music and books being owned or distributed by secular companies who secretly support the bill they can censor anything that belongs to them and fine or arrest offenders and any artist that tries to rerelease their already published work in an unedited form can be prosecuted by calling it piracy. MOST CHURCHES DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT YOU NEED A CCLI LICENSE TO PERFORM PUBLICLY OR RECORD ANY PRE RECORDED PUBLISHED MUSIC. ESPECIALLY IF MONEY IS TAKEN UP ON BEHALF OF THE PERFORMER. They can call the performance and its recording piracy and through a narrow interpretation of law render singing of published songs illegal.

  12. CAROLINE says:

Prayer is the key that all robber barons, cons, schemers, apostates, manipulators, and all men and women of unrighteousness be removed from positions that will allow them to make decisions that will affect all of us in any kind of way. The church must get back to earnest prayer and seek God’s will on behalf on his people.

  13. Taura Helms says:

I was hoping EX would discuss this. They claim it is to curb piracy, but I think that the wealthy one percent who already own everything and are the cause of our problems want to control us even more. Yes Craigslist has flaws, there are flaws on search engines and maybe some people are doing illegal activity on the net, but I doubt it is worth further controlling our lives. The internet can be a bad source but we also benefit from it. Too much government making things worst.

  14. Camille says:

whY is this bad. Piracy is the same thing as stealing right?

    • Jeanne M. says:

      Camille,
“whY is this bad. Piracy is the same thing as stealing right?” YES, it is, but the way things are going with the internet, something tells me this is the beginning of something even more BROAD BASED then even we realize.

Start out slowly with something that most people might not really take serious, then gradually build up to even bigger things, that will continue to eat away at our freedoms (and give ‘The New World Order’ something greater to work with) until we’re willing to hand them over whatever they ask for.

NOTHING SURPRISES ME NOW, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO BIBLE PROPHECY.

  15. Shae says:

I will pray about this because the internet is a very useful means for ministry to people around the world. May we all touch and agree about this.

  16. theresa woolridge says:

praying time is a must….let us pray daily.

  17. theresa woolridge says:

    Praying is a must

  18. corry scott says:

Censoring the internet, would effect the many opportunities that america has for growth and takes away various avenues. And takes away some of the freedom from its citizens, which is what makes this country so great “The land of the free” Please reconsider the affects that the sopa and pipa would have on the country. Were already in national debt and enough peril. God Bless!

  19. reading_his_word_restores_me says:

This is really sad! I will continue to repent and pray daily. God Bless!

    • APOSTLE CHERYL says:

AS AN AUTHOR WHO HAS EXPERIENCED ONLINE PIRACY I MUST SAY THAT I AM GLAD THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM,\.

      • Jackie says:

Oh but it is so much more than online piracy, Cheryl. Under the guise of stopping online piracy these two bills will give the government the right to access all internet traffic (believe me, they will have not blink an eye at the thought of getting into people’s personal accounts like email, chats, social media inboxes, online banking, etc..) and determine what is acceptable and what is not and fines will be imposed. read the bills HR 3261 and S968. If their true intention is stop online piracy, then they need to use more specific wording directed towards online piracy. The way it’s set up now is too broad and too loose.

        • Jeanne M. says:

That’s about the size of it Jackie, start out with something we ‘think’ is not so big, and move on to ‘invading’ our real privacy and see what happens then folks. YES FOLKS, PRAYING TIME (EACH AND EVERY DAY) IS REALLY HERE (and you’d better pray for those Mega churches too, who’ll most likely be joining in on this people). God help and have mercy on us.

      • FaithInHim says:

I know many ppl will disagree with this, but I dont care if anyone copies my work. If my work is producing heavenly rewards, im fine with that. However, I believe that we should always “cite” who we are quoting from.

Keep in mind that earthly royalties dont accumulate in the treasurebox of your heart.
