The Truth Behind the Black Church: False god worship in the church?

Dr. Melvin O. Marriner pastor of Grove Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Va. youth ministry group  KAOSS (Kids Always on the Same Step) posted this video on youtube showcasing their talent. While entertaining their congregation, young people are being introduced to common practices within Greek Letter Organizations. Practices that will lead to false-god worship.

b40f690476f447c0b3ebe60e7203dd9d-1According to Dr. Marriners bio found on the church website; “he’s dedicated to serving the community and currently serves as President of Dr. Martin Luther King Leadership Steering Committee, Is a member of Portsmouth Notable, Portsmouth Rotary, Rotary International, the Tidewater Metro Ministers’ Conference, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Dr. Marriner has received numerous awards among them: The Outstanding Community Service Award from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Citizen of the Year Award, and the South Hampton Roads Pan Hellenic Council Greek of the Year Award 2006.”

We are not questioning Dr. Marriners, the members of Grove Baptist Church and their youth departments love for God or ministry. However, there is a need to present the truth and help the body of Christ come into full understand and knowledge of why we can’t continue to endorse BGLOs or embrace what they represent.

BACKGROUND: It was over 60 years ago when stepping was first introduced to the African American community. However it roots took place in Africa from indigenous tribes and extended throughout slavery into what we have today. These tribes used various forms of dance to celebrate death, war time and other tribal celebrations. Most historians agree that Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, and then Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, were the first to start the stepping phenomenon throughout colleges and universities.

Based on historical records Kwame Nkrumah (Phi Beta Sigma)  from Ghana introduced some steps from the traditional African culture. Stemming from “coming of age” or rites of passage, Nkrumah brought in the idea that stepping was supposed to be used as a crossing over celebration.

photo-step_danceThe coming of age ceremonies or rites of passage is describe as crossing over into manhood. This is intimately tied to the pledge process which is itself Masonic & Afro-centric in origin and method.

Within several BGLOs the pledge process can go from 8-10 weeks. When the individual is ready to to cross “the line”  they would perform a step show routine that night as part of the ritual. Nkrumah was also responsible for introducing the cain to the stepping ritual.

What are Christian step ministries and why have we been introducing them to young people in our churches? Have we opened a door for them to join BGLOs and pledge other gods like many of their parents have?

In our recent video The Truth Behind the Black Church, Will Ford presents a historical and biblical argument against the gods of BGLOs and Free Masonry, how these organizations have impact the church and why we should denounce them and their practices.

  1. Juliette Wright Says:

The crazy thing I met a guy who went to a mega-church in Dallas at college. He was saying how he was Mason and his parents was too (mother a Eastern Star). He then was going to pledge. Of course I had a DVD and let him watched. I asked him why did he need to pledge and why was God enough? He said the fraternity did believe in God and that there were many perks to being in a fraternity. Honestly, I too when I was younger wanted to pledge but, my life did not lead me down that road. So from what I gather is that most people believe that they can live for God and still pledge.

  2. chuck Says:

The bow tie in action. So sad that they are so decieved and don’t even know it. This is satanic by design and he knows exactly what he is doing. Listen to his last comment again and you will know what I mean. SMH..

  3. God's daughter Says:

I can’t watch the whole video… It hurts to see this going on. I grew up with a verbally abusive mom, who later physically abused me. She is a pastor and I used to watch how she and my older brother would come home and mock / laugh / gossip about the people in church. Today, I am born again, God-fearing, and God’s daughter by the power of Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit.
Although she tolerates me, she is my biggest enemy and I can tell that she wants me to fail. My big brother hates me without a cause; at the mention of my name he starts to curse – he is bipolar. My mom recently confessed to me that she is in a lodge and my brother is a mason. Now I understand the hatred they have towards me. I have strongly opposed and spoken out against it to both of them and they remained silent until my mom recently told me.

She suffers from many illnesses. Although she profess to be a pastor, she can’t seem to understand scripture and is very materialistic. Please pray with me for their souls. I don’t want them to go to Hell. We must intercede for our loved ones by fasting and praying.

    • HB Says:

I will stand with you in prayer for your mother and brother. For your mom to share with you that both she and your brother are involved in free masonry suggests to me that she wants deliverance from serving two masters. I pray for their hearts to be soften to study the Word and get free from the enemy’s bondage that has taken hold of both of them. In Jesus name. Amen.

    • Eric Says:

You are not alone! My mother and dad (who I rarely seen due to his instant disgard for me even as a child) is the same way, mentally screwed up and possesed by many evil spirits. My mother raised me in this backwards large baptist church, had me in ministries, made me read the Bible, and pray all the time. My dad now is a minister from what I hear. But both wouldn’t know Jesus Christ and his truth from a can of paint, they both accepted and are devoted to a false Jesus that is man made (not Biblical) and exude all kinds of ignorance & ungodliness.

My mother still attends (all the time) the popular demonic baptist church I grew up in and is heavily involved in ministry (evangelism, choir, etc). And she basically doesn’t like me b/c I am a light and don’t believe in the doctrine of man. Now she does tolerate me but it’s contrived and phony, she has said cruel things to me a “christian” mother would never say (never apologized either), tried to turn people against me, lied on me, and basically don’t wish me well (unless I’m making money so she can get some) until I finally decide to believe what she believes but that will not happen b/c she’s wrong. She’s a very prideful, stubborn woman …. but I love and forgive her all the time. But I’m no fool, I try to avoid her as much as I can b/c I can’t tolerate that evilness for a long period of time.

I prayed that God will release any bondage I have to my parents, especially my mother and He did! I would go against God’s Word to impress and appease her but no more! I’m at peace, I tried to witness to her about the darkness she’s in and she continues to make excuses and has made it clear she has no intentions in doing right. It use to bother me a lot but I rarely think about it now (I thank Him!!), I still try to witness every now and then but it’s to no avail so far. Ignorance is bliss for her. But not just her but my whole family (friends included), just about all of them attend some evil church every Sunday and still don’t know the first profound thing about Christ and what he wants for His people.

So don’t you worry. God said his Word will turn family against each other but it’s OK b/c for one once we leave this earth we will not remember who our family was anyway. And on this earth your family is people like me etc … people who are and have a genuine desire to be part of the Body of Christ and produce the fruits of the spirit

      God Bless.

  4. HB Says:

HOT MESS! I had the opportunity to pledge a certain sorority in 2 separate periods in my life and I am so glad that I never got around to doing it. In retrospect, I believe God was protecting me from deception BEFORE I received teaching on why secret societies, masonry and greek letter organizations are demonic. I know many people who are in BGLOs and most all of them profess to be saved. I am moved to forward the DVD, Truth Behind The Black Church to a very good friend of mine who is a Delta because I believe she out of many others will be soften in her spirit to receive the truth and denounce her association to the sorority. One task I have is to warn as many folks as possible who are involved in these organizations. Some will receive it, others won’t and will try to flip it into saying that I’m disgruntled or jealous that I’m not in a sorority. NO, I serve a jealous God and He wants NO MAN or OTHER GODS before Him!

  5. rainy Says:

My mother started off born again, but my brother says shes a eastern star.We used to be best friends but now she is selfish loves money. Our spirit does not agree and shes a preacher. She rolls her eyes at me in the pulpit. She acts very strange and loves to be in the spotlight. It hurts me because i dont know her anymore. It feels like my mother has died and something else lives in her body.

  6. summer Says:

Who ever taught them those steps are in a greek organization.

  7. michelle Says:

Ot of all the congregation in that video I saw 1 couple that look displeased, but did not leave. That was sad to see the demons in those children. Anger not joy showed on their faces. I will be praying that in spite of what the enimy does to try to destroy their young lives God’s will be done.

  8. UnchainedSaint Says:

I pledged as a 18 19 year old impressionable young woman and now nearly 50 I realize that it was pure foolishness. I neither claim allegiance or acknowledge my BGLO. Seeing other “sorors” I feign anonymity. I am embarassed now by my youthful affiliation. But many if not most pastors are masonic or greek. Sorry but true

    • Kay Dee Says:

Praise God!! It’s very impressionable glad you recognized that and denounced them.

      • Xavier G. Bailey Says:

Amen! I too was duped and pledged. I went through ungodly acts and humiliation and paid money for it as well. But when I was filled with the Holy Ghost one of the first things he instructed me to do was to get out at once, through away everything connected to it and denounce it!!! Since that time I been ministering under the Power of The Holy Ghost!!! These organizations are foolishness and is a product of the Lust of the flesh,The Lust of The eyes and The Pride of Life which is of the world and not of the Father!!!!

        • Unchained Saint Says:

Yes. The practices of humiliation I endured and inflicted. I ask God to forgive me always. It is a regret I will take to my grave. As a former DST I LOATHE that I pledged to an organization and sisters that I didnt even like. Yuck!

  9. Mark Says:

There is a lack of discernment that has crept into the Church unaware and that is why familiar spirits have taken root and has become strongholds. False gods who are continually worshiped will take preeminence being allowed to manifest through children. That is why we must pray and ask the LORD to show people the TRUTH and let others know about it. TRUTH does not conform nor compromise but it is direct and very straightforward not circuitous.

  10. Marilyn Says:

Smh.. Hours on top of hours of practice, to “entertain” in the church! So, I wonder how many hours of Bible study and learning how to be Holy in this sick world, has these children been taught in that fine church.. Lord Jesus, please help.. I just Thank you Lord for Ex-ministries and Pastor Craige for his boldness of spreading your Truth! 3years ago I would have not seen anything wrong with this unholy mess! Thank you Lord for your Holy Spirit…

    • stephanieb Says:

I agree Marilyn. I could only watch about a minute of this video because it frustrated me so much. And I have seen similar things happening in churches in my area as well. As I have said before, my pastor, who is only 28, and his dad as well, who used to be our former pastor are both members of Omega Psi Phi, and his son is always mentioning in Bible Study about all of the things that he used to do back when he was in college, such as drugs, having been arrested, etc. He is currently bipolar and is on medication for it, but sometimes I wonder if some of the mess that he was involved in is the cause of his condition today. To bring this kind of mess into the church is sacrilegious and just plain STUPID. I am currently looking for another church home at the moment, despite my mom’s desire for me to stay at my current church. I ask that you all pray for me that I will find a good church home with people who are actually serious about the Lord because where I currently am that is not the case.

      • Mrs. Brown Says:

Omg, back in my foolish and worldly days I dated this guy for a year who had the same problem. He told me the day we met that he was “bipolar, manic depressive, with suicidal tendencies”. I should have listened and ran the other way, but I stayed foolishly. He also told me that he fought demons in his sleep and showed me scars from those “battles”. He said I was the only one that believed him. Even though I was in the world, I grew up in church and knew about spiritual warfare. My point in sharing this is that he too was a Kappa and a Mason. His mother was an AKA. I believe that he was in some serious bondage due to demonic strongholds that were passed down to him. If you notice also, it seems that many members of these greek orgs die prematurely. Both my grandfather and great-grandfather were members of these “cults”. Unfortunately they both died prematurely in tragic ways. Lord please help these people see the truth before it’s too late!!

        • stephanieb Says:

So true Mrs. Brown, so true. And to think that not long ago my mom was encouraging me to talk to our pastor because he liked me, but something in my spirit knew that it wasn’t right. I too feel that many people in these organizations are under demonic influence and may not even realize how deep in it they really are. My cousin is heavily into the Masons and since he’s been in it he’s been so angry and bitter and one day several years ago after my uncle passed he just cussed out my mom and aunt around everyone only a few hours after the funeral. I told him that he had no right to be disrespectful and that he was just plain evil and ever since then he hasn’t spoken to any of us. At first I was just infuriated with him, but I have recently realized that much of that anger may stem from his association with the Masons, among other things. I have come to realize that the best thing I can do for him is pray for him because he truly needs it. Another cousin of mine says that she believes that he is mentally unstable and she has experience working in a mental hospital so she knows from experience. I believe that these organizations are really destroying it’s members, not only spiritually, but emotionally and mentally as well. It’s really quite sad but it’s hard to tell them any different because they have such an allegiance to it.

      • Marilyn Says:

Yes, sister Stephanieb, I will join in Prayer with you for God to lead you to a true God fearing Church.. Wow a Pastor who is bipolar and a frat member.. He can’t serve 2masters and that’s the war inside of him.. God Bless~

      • Eric Says:

Visit the exitchurchanity blog …. Google exitchurchanity. All denominations are man inspired and not God inspired so God doesn’t want us in them. If anything look for believers to congregate with but not another institutional church

  11. Taura Helms Says:

This is one of the saddest things I think I have seen and the year is only getting started. The worst part is some churches that do these things have pastors with good intentions but they have not fully opened themselves to the truth of God’s word. However, the road to hell is paved with good intentions for some and most of these pastor’s know exactly what they are doing. Stuff like this is the reason that people who really want to get saved can’t tell the difference between what is real and what is fake. A saddened day and saddened state.

  12. Zyhone Says:

I have noticed that a lot of the Mason, Eastern Stars, BLGO’s, Boule and other false organizations are most comfortable operating in and through the Baptist Churches. Is it just me?

    • stephanieb Says:

Not just Baptist, I’m AME Zion, and it’s in my denomination too. You’d be surprised and appalled at how many “ministers” are frats, sorors, and in the Eastern Star and Masons. I know quite a few just in my area, it’s quite sad.

  13. jcart91 Says:

This foolishness is why the power of God cannot be demostrated in the earth. We (black people and black churches) have become so ignorant to satan’s devices that we allow this strange fire to burn openly in the house of God.

    • stephanieb Says:

Amen jcart91, Amen! I have been thinking the same thing. Between this mess and all this Obama worship that has been going on, many black folks are truly lost!!

  14. Saavy_One Says:

As for the influence of sororities and fraternities, I will tell you a story of three people I knew well. One was this genius guy who pledged. Before, he was a calm, gentle person who was dedicated to his studies and was like known for being academically focused. Once he joined, he began partying and acting completely different. It was as if he transformed overnight and over time into someone who began living in more and more darkness. It was to the point that though he was still intelligent, he lost that reputation for being academically gifted. Thanks be to God he is now married with a little girl and has renounced allegiance to the organization.

The second story is about a girl who I met in college. We were pretty good friends until she pledged a certain sorority our sophomore year. I was supposed to do so as well (thank God I didn’t), and I discussed it with her (not knowing that she was a leader in the organization at that time because I studied abroad the semester afterward). She told me that it had to be something I really wanted, and after reading the books I got from some of my friends who also were thinking about pledging, I decided not to. The alleged histories of the sororities I considered seemed to be filled with hatred, bickering, and nonsense. Plus, my grandmother is a high-level life-time Eastern Star (actually all of my great aunts on that side were involved as high priestesses…whatever that means), and I had been around that stuff enough to know that it wasn’t what I wanted to have in my life. I never told her why, but to this day our relationship hasn’t been the same. We are more like acquaintances now, and it is sad because she was the first friend I actually made in college and we both loved and served the Lord and our communities. Even though we were both going through our struggles, we always managed to remain good friends. I pray that the relationship would be restored and she will see the futility of such an organization.

The final one goes to my brother who wanted to be in a certain Greek organization. This particular one was really known for homosexual acts and womanizing, but because my uncle was in the group and he had the measure of success (as well as his friends from high school that went off to college whilst he stayed home at community college), he decided to go through the process. He was going through the process when they told him that he wouldn’t make it because he kept asking too many questions. He then told me that we (my husband and I) were right about what we were telling him in regards to how they don’t align themselves with the Bible like they told him or how they served other gods.

  15. Saavy_One Says:

I wonder if there is a difference between the stepping that they do and making rhythms and beats with your body. This is because I used to do steps (I wasn’t leading it at church but as a teacher in my classroom) in my class to teach kids about patterns or as a brain break to help them relax and retain information learned. It would not be anything like what they were doing. I do recognize that this is something that is inappropriate for the church. Is this wrong? I know that the Greek stepping and all is wrong and in the way they do it. Please I am looking to understand because it is something I would like to stop doing if it is indeed wrong.

  16. Ronald Myers Says:

Very sad!!! You virtually cannot find a Black Church operating in the Spirit and Truth!!! Religious entertainments are the bedrocks, not the Word. The ministers are responsible as they should have the oversight, but most seem bent on ‘contemporizing’ the church, even at the expense of neglecting what the Word says. Miming, stepping, etc, are all diversions and distractions from the truth of the Bible. The contemporary church wants so badly to conform to the world; very sad, but we have been warned in the Word about this!!

  17. Jesusthelight Says:

Thank you pastor for this article. I never thought about the roots of this dance. Now thinking about it I realize that not only the stepping but many other dances in the Hip Hop movement are similar in many ways with the large variety of African traditional dances. These movements do not glorify God in any way because they were inspired by demons to human beings. Some of these movements were taught step by step by demons.

Sad to see that these movements give glory to men and satisfies the desires of the flesh. We have to put God first in everything we do. Cain and Abel both gave an offering but God was pleased with the one that met his standards. Romans 8:8 “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God”

  18. Joseph Bass Says:

It is time for us to know why we do and believe. We have got to stop just believing and doing because it has been what was taught. I understand now why the old church was so hard on the worldly stuff. My grandfather talked about a lot of this stuff going on in churches. He was the first to publicly disclose how much Catholic stuff we have brought into the church. He pased at the age of 96.

  19. wandasewell Says:

When I looked at that video I asked The Lord why do they do these kinds things in the church and his answer was because they want to be entertainedThe house of God should be a house of prayer and worship not for stepping, mimeing ,plays, bake sales ,etc. I pray a strong conviiction come upon those that do such things. In Jesus Name I pray

  20. qs Says:

After reviewing the truth behind the black church, I can see the error of my own family. I come from an AME/ Baptist background. Now I know why the “Power of God cannot manifest”. Thank you G.Craig Lewis for informing us..

  21. sharperthananytwoedgedsword Says:

I never understood the purpose of stepping and praise dancers in the church. I agree with several comments about teaching our children about the power of God, deliverance from darkness and refraining from all works of evil. WE need to throw the leaven out the front door and stop sneaking it in the back door. Jesus said “Be on your guard against the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.(Luke 12:1) Then Paul said it in Galatians 5:7-9 ” You were running well, Who prevented you from obeying the truth? This persuasion did not come from Jesus who called you. A little leaven leavens the whole loaf. ” So what are we doing? The church has gone so far from the landmark, it troubles me in my spirit man. We want entertainment, but not the Word! Lord help us to have discernment in 2013.

  22. Steve Tutu Says:

Kwame Nkrumah was great statesman but highly occultic, so that does not surprise me at all. Believers must open their eyes and not get supped sudo- Christianity

  23. george harrison Says:

Frats in church, dead wrong, unholy.

  24. Cheryl Lynn Bernard Says:

My my!!! Misguided children , false god worship nothing but thieves. Its ashame before God, it just boggles my mind how people can read scripture and think that this stuff is ok!!! I know it hurts the very Heart of God to see the way we live that will eventually result in eternal damnation. Oh My God reveal the truth to those who don’t know.

  25. Keyone Bell Says:

I’m just gon say it, I saw the spirit of a demon manifesting because if you notice there was no joy in any of those kids face! It broke my heart foreal watching this! Lord come quickly!

  26. MsZ Says:

The video of the children was sad to see. They were so “tight” with their moves, they must have devoted hours and hours and hours to drilling and practice. I pray that the Lord lights their way out of the trap their parents are leading them into. And it’s not just the young ones. We all have to be careful. My mom recently told me some stories of how one of the Black greek sororities tried to recruit her to join one of their graduate chapters when she was in her forties. They tried to entice her with their “influential network of powerful women” and “alliances to help her with her business/interests”. Praise God, she turned them down. They were very persistent for many years. I thank the Most High, for His grace and mercy which helped me to repent and renounce my initiation into an african sisterhood. Another trap. I was 22 at the time and was enticed by the cultural aspect because it wasn’t the same as pledging a greek organization because black americans aren’t greeks. Yeah, right. How naive I was. It was all the same demonic mess. False God worship to the same Gods as the greeks but under different names. Thanks EX Ministries and Brother Will. I have shared your tapes and teachings on generational curses/false gods with several people I have come into contact with. It helps to know you are not alone and the Most High can deliver you from anything. Parents be the example for your children. Those early lessons come back later on in your life. You don’t forget.

  27. Kay Dee Says:

Just saw the kids, and……… They might as well throw up the signs, and stroll off. I mean really?!? When we stepped we didn’t act like a fraternity our sorority. Lord is there one minister who won’t let mime, step shows, jerichoso, eastern stars, frats or sorors, masons and who aren’t in a frat carry on foolishness during worship service?

  28. Kay Dee Says:

Wow! This is weird, when I was a youth in my church we had a drill team, we had bible drills, and we did some stepping. It was I thought innocent, but now……. Lord forgive us and the leaders at our church. I’m sure at churchs last weekend deltas were out…my church had founders day for the sigmas, shad deltas.. I’m sure the masons will be back for their ceremony on easter. Majority of our drill team stuff was mainly scriptures. So glad the desire to pledge has left me and my friend.

  29. Florence Says:

Love it! I’m constantly spreading CDs around
Many are even buying thier own now. My Co workers are eating it up! My manager is even interested! ALL of the years that I worked In the mission I helped many. But giving this truth changes ones mind in a different way because it hurts to know when they thought they did right… EVIL was present.Tears came to my eyes when I saw Thieves in the Temple because I saw it all while in the church and I got sad because they probably wont believe me. Now I can understand why it will be like in Noah days and why they crucified my Lord. BECAUSE HE WANTED PAGANISM DECEASED. I’m soooooo happy I asked God to reveal what was missing in my walk. I knew it couldn’t had be more to this walk. Seeked and God guided. This message is changing life’s and helping our family grow! Great messages every true church message and DVD.

Its like a Domino effect so to say. I share with one person and they tell their pastor which Changes on church at a time.

  30. Free From Burdens Says:

I always felt something was wrong with this but thought I was wrong for feeling that way. I thought I was trying to be “deep”. Now I know. I too was ignorant. Thank God the Lord Jesus moved me from the church I was attending and I began getting truths like this. If I was getting this warning, how many countless others got the same and ignored like I did. We (Body of Christ) need to discern everything. We need to listen to that uncomfortable feeling. Everything in the church is not godly. I learned it the HARD way.

  31. CROSS BEARER Says:

Ezekiel Chapters 8 through 11. We are there.

  32. Tonja Says:

The Lord told me to go on a 3 day fast and speak out against Soroities and Fraternities and if I didn’t their blood would be on my hands. They were so mad at me and would have stoned me if they could have. Yet they go to church faithfully.

  33. Kim Worthy Says:

What ever happened to Bible drills?

  34. Word Fail Spr 02 12 Says:

Did the brother who introduced the “cain” to stepping also introduce the “abel”?

  35. Elderls Says:

Being a “FORMER” member of a BGLO myself…this is pure spiritual ignorance. The children have NO idea that they are participating in “false god worship”. They couldn’t do this in the church without their pastor enabling them and the adults standing, clapping and cheering them on as if it were a pep rally. These poor children are following in the spiritual ignorance of their parents. Ppl fail to understand that what you DON’T know can hurt you. My Lord and My God!!! *Praise God for deliverance from that mess…

  36. rainy Says:

They act like there under a spell.

    • Hezekiah Says:

Under a spell? You mean like the people who get “the holy ghost” EVERY Sunday and dance around like fools speaking in tongues?

      Also: they’re.

  37. Deborah Scott Says:

This is going on in the church because the Word of God is not being taught from Genesis to Revelation. I’m so sure if you ask these young people just how much Bible they know it would be little. THey are putting so much time into learning how to step and other such nonsence til it leaves little time for real study of the Word of God. They will have to know the Word to operate in this insane and sin cursed world. Stepping will not help them in their struggle to live for God. Yes it is discipline but for what? The enemy is clouding the vision that the leaders should have in equipping people to live in a world that is growing more hostile to God and His Son. They are failing to see the everlasting danger that we are in as a nation and individuals. Please, please for God sake continue to warn, preach, teach, and cry out loud so some will escape the wrath to come. I believe America is heading for judgement from God who has all but been shut out of the church. Perhaps He is presently standing knocking at this church’s door.

    • JP Says:

Deborah after watching some of the video, I agree with your comments and was saying, I wonder how much of the Word does these young people know and understand. I was invited to a Christmas concert at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC, and some young people were also steppin. It grieved my spirit. The people are so ignorant – applauding and cheering the youth on. I knew miming had crept into the church, but I didn’t know that the steppin is now very popular among the young people in the church. How does all of this glorify the Father?

  38. Herman Cruse Says:

I believe that Satan and his minions have been unleashed upon the Churches and it’s God’s will!!!! God has revealed to us in Rev. 18:4 to “…Come out of her and partake NOT of her sins…” The Black Church is just as corrupt as the White Church, these mosques and synagogues with all this vain worship, lying and fleecing the people with this tithing lie and idolatry. Yahshua(Jesus) has taught and is teaching us that it’s ALL about relationship, NOT RELIGION!!!!!! So……..COME OUT!!!!!! Embrace your “personal” exodus. After all….It is a “whosoever will” matter!!!!!!

    • Eric Says:

I just realized that the baptist denomination that I held so dear to my heart is denomic, ppl use to always tell me well no church is perfect but a little leaven ruins everything and it always did, every single black baptist church I attended was not only perfect but operated on the gospel of man/demons and not the true Gospel of Jesus Christ…. I also now know that all religions are daughters of the Mother Harlot (Catholic Church) and will experience God’s wrath so we must come out now.

I spent years in mental anguish and fighting with my family/friends b/c I refused to attend any church after just not feeling comfortable with the foolishness that was going on b/c I discerned ungodly influences that was not being corrected but instead exalted! They never tried to fix them, so I just couldn’t do it anymore after being a “church boy” for 20+ years. I went to baptist conventions across the country, all kinds of baptist leadership events, conferences …. baptist was my everything but I can honestly say I still didn’t know the real Christ, the Christ I knew was not in the Bible.

AT 26, I SEE RELIGION (BAPTIST, COGIC, PENTACOSTAL, CATHOLIC, ETC) WILL ALWAYS DISAPPOINT ANY TRUE SERVANT OF CHRIST AND WE MUST STOP FOOLING OURSELVES THAT IT WILL CHANGE (I VISITED TOO MANY CHURCHES LOOKING FOR A GODLY ONE TO KNOW IT WON’T, ALL THE SAME FOOLSIHNESS!!!) GOD TELLS US IN HIS WORD, RELIGION IS AN UNFRUITFUL DISTRACTION AND WE MUST REBUKE, REPROVE, & REPENT. PLEA THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE BLOOD OF CHRIST FOR UNDERSTANDING AND DIRECTION ON THIS FOR THOSE WHO DON’T GET IT YET ……

The saddest thing about this is that this “Pastor” knows what the origin of these practices are and is still allowing it. If I ask most Pastors who have youth step “ministries” where these practices originated they wouldn’t be able to tell me. Pastors today are more concerned about what will bring people in than they are about the spirits they’re bringing in. They just listen to whoever has a “bright idea” without doing the research themselves. Leaders need to stop operating in the flesh, bringing all this foolishness into the church. And read the Bible and get some discernment.

OMG!! you are so on point Sherea! I mean I know there is no such thing as a perfect church but what ever happen to Living a life holy and acceptable unto God which is our REASONABLE service?.what ever happen to going to church and not have to push through the messed up atmosphere, Just to worship the true and living God? I’m so sick of carnal christianity and carnal churches its not even funny anymore. You can’t serve two masters! and Pastor’s should not allow any steps or dances in the sancuary that is contrary to the word, will, or way of God (PERIOD). it not only cheapens our witness for Jesus Christ, but its confusing to all those who are new to faith, or those lacking spiritual dicernment. also it sends a message to our kids that this foolishness is ok to be in the sancuary..SMH

We are giving our children over to Satan, by teaching them these occult practices, these groups are cults and not of God. They are rituals and composed of “tradition of men” (something that is practiced that feeds the flesh!) We should be teaching our children how to pray, praise, worship and spiritual warfare. I’m speaking from experience of teaching the word of God to children. We think that our children cannot comprehend the Word, (YES, they can) I teach from the ages of 6 to 15 years of age. These children tell me so much of what they are going through in school, at home and even in the church that scares them and confuses them. PLEASE People of God, teach our children, exactly what the WORD says: and not what we deem right. Because the Heart is all else wicked, do not come out of self, worldly, carnal practices. I taught my daughters at an early age, 3 and 6, now they are 12 and 15, and they do endure trials and tribulations and peer pressure from other unsaved children, but the thing is THEY ARE EQUIPPED, (WHY?) Because everything that I learned and still learning, I pass it to them, and they are just as hungry for the truth as I am. (Deuteronomy 4:9 – Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.) My prayer is we as saints and parents put our children in the light of the LORD and stop using them as show pieces. WAKE-UP, the time is now, not tomorrow!
Satan is destroying our children, and we are giving them to him willing, letting them participate in pagan holidays, letting them listen to rap, hip-hop music, letting them watch children shows that are so demonic, giving them over to skull attire (death). No I’m not perfect don’t claim to be, but you better believe that if I discern that something is not right in my spirit and then being led by the HOLY SPIRIT, its not going to come into my home and our daily lives without being prayed out and renounced. And we have a good time in the LORD and not ashame of being children of the MOST HIGH!

Amen, keep doing what you are doing.

    • Pastor D. Lindsey Says:

Awesome! Very encouraged by what you said. Keep on giving them the engrafted word which is able to save their souls. My son is almost 30 years old now and he has been telling me that everything that I taught him as a child and teenager is starting to coming back to his remembrance and that it’s all making sense now. He’s desiring to move away from worldliness to God. All the money in the world couldn’t pay for just hearing the words come out of his mouth and watching the transformation take place! PRICELESS!

    • STILLHERE Says:

Amen lovingthelordoo4! this was very encouraging to me as well. we need more youth minister like you. keep on contending for the faith and know that your labor is not in vain. I pray that God continues to bless you, and keep you and your family:)

There is nothing cute about these kids acting like frats and soro’s It’s so sad b/c they don’t even know the origins of these steps and movements that they are doing and the history of the greeks. Someone should have been at their rehearsals and said, “This is not acceptable in the House of GOD”. Nobody wants to say anything in the church today. So sad!

You know what a lot of people don’t know that it is wrong and that it is a form of false god worship. We as believers need to get out there and tell them and show them that it’s wrong. Until about roughly 2 years ago, I had no idea that this stuff was against God. It was by accident ( or might I say the power of God ) that I came across some videos posted by EX ministries on youtube that opened my eyes to this and a lot more! I was diligently seeking God and he lead me to the truth! So people we need to try and lend out as many Truth Behind Hiphop videos as we can! Sometimes people will take the videos and learn from their ways while others wont. But we must try and lead people to the truth! Pray about it and start lending or buying these videos to give to your friends and love ones!
