The parents of 6-year-old boy who believes he is a girl are threatening to sue the Colorado school system for requiring the “girl” to use a separate bathroom from other girls in the school.
Jeremy and Kathryn Mathis, the parents of Coy Mathis, took their complaints to theKatie Couric show.
Coy’s parents were baffled as to why the school system decided to “single out” Coy who still has male genitals.
Coy, who has identified as a girl since age 4, was pulled from the Eagleside Elementary School in Fountain, CO, and home schooled while the lawsuit winds its way through the courts.
“This is significant for both Colorado and nationally,” said Michael Silverman, executive director of the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund, who is representing the family. “For Colorado, it is the first test of the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act as related to access to bathrooms by transgender students.
Coy’s parents already lost one round in their fight.
In November, a Maine state court ruled against the couple, deciding that the school did not violate Coy’s rights when it prohibited her from using the girls’ room.
Coy’s attention-seeking parents appeared at a news conference Wednesday to announce their lawsuit on the steps of the state Capitol.
“This automatically singles her out and stigmatizes her,” Kathryn Mathis said. “It sets her up for future harassing and bullying, and creates an unsafe environment. The school has a wonderful opportunity to teach students that differences are OK, and we should embrace their differences, instead of teaching them to discriminate against someone who is a little different.”
News of the lawsuit sparked outrage among parents on message boards everywhere.

From the family picture it looks like he has an older sister and another sister almost his age. So maybe he just identified with his older sister’s toys and styles because, at a very young age, that is what he wanted to play with. It’s possible that he truly believes he’s a girl, but it’s also very possible this is just a phase that will pass in due time. By making such an issue out of this and allowing him to “be a girl” instead of just allowing him to wear pink and play with dolls, the parents are setting him up for a lot of unnecessary confusion and a very difficult adolescence.James T, of Minnesota, says:

I just can not comprehend why a father allow this madness to go on in his home and not do the right thing. Does he not love his own sees? Why isn’t he fighting for his son? I have been blind and deaf but i did understand a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl. Folks, there is something much more diabolical going on here. How can a child even know its gender at the age of 2? It is the parents and those who have influence in their lives that determine how they express that gender. No child should even have a knowledge of that at such an early age. No, there is something much deeper going on here. Because of the abortions that have gone on unabated in this country for years, and because we elect officials who support this so-called “right”, a spirit of murder has been unleased in this world that is not only mudering and maiming children outright, but is now murdering their identities in the womb. There is nothing wrong with the boy playing with dolls or anything else. The problem is that his no brain having parents have twisted his mind into believing he is something other then what God made him to be. Growing up I played with G.I. Joe and other boy toys with my brothers and cousins and when I wanted to play with Barbie or tea party they played with me. Not one of us are gay and we are all Christians who are happily married with kids. Our families did not twist our thinking to justify us playing with toys. They saw it as us respecting eachother and kids being kids. That boys parents need to realize they are the ones setting him up for failure.

I remember when my 46 year old son Charles, went to school for the first time. Being mommy, I automatically took him into the girls bathroom with me, because even then grown men were molesting and violating children. And being a child who was molested, I could not send him with a stranger.
But then when Charles, went to school for the first time, I was instructed that this was the day that he could no longer go in the little girls bathroom, and I’ve never forgotten that lesson. It allowed me to put my son in Gods hands & to watch, trust and pray. It is unpleasant to realize that we live in a world, and a time that. Boys are girls and girls are boys. God! for bid. It is plan as day. Those who don’t believe that Jehovah God is the Creator can’t figure out gender and what there genitalia was created to do. “If you don’t know the purpose of a thing abuse is inevitable.” Are they even considering what the little girls will feel like with a cross dressing boy in the bathrooms and locker rooms? No matter how confused or crossed dressed they are, it is still uncomfortable to even imagine. If this law is passed, then perverts will take advantage of it by cross dressing just to get into the women’s facilities and do who knows what. How crazy is this!

Wow after further digging, I am asking for God’s mercy to intervene on behalf of this family. The reason why is because for whatever reason the father in this home, appears to be letting the mother’s direction rule and dominate. That right there is the perfect setup for deception to have been able to creep in. It led them right to the door of a secular psychologist. If this was a Christian that counseled them by any chance than woe on them. It is not God’s plan or design for a woman to lead in the home where there is a man present., even if the woman beleives she is smarter, stronger or wiser. I am not against a woman wanting to protect her children from harm, but in God’s eyes, it is a man’s role and accountibility to protect and lead his family.I beleive this man sincerly loves his wife, but there are some other issues going on here as to why he would go along with the diagnoses that his son is transgender. I pray that the father in this home will be led to and exposed to an enviroment of Godly Influence. I pray for men that understand and are walking in God’s purpose, design, and their leadership roles in their families to cross his path. I pray that we as Godly women who know are role in the family to come against the same cunning spiritual darkness which captivated Eve in the Garden, which led her to choose to do what was right in her own eyes.

This is just another result of the power of influence. In my opinion some of this could have it’s roots from the current political agenda and spiritual cimate that is openly and more brazenly manifesting itself.I wonder what the parent’s political and moral stance is.Clearly a child is not mature enough to choose a gender unassisted. I have a son and he has two older sisters one of which is barely a year older than him. Because of the time that they spend together he at times tries to imitate them. This problem has a simple fix. You tell him every chance you get that he is a boy, and that boys don’t wear pink, boys don’t play with dolls, boys don’t bend their wrists or arch their backs and switch when they walk. You tell him that he is going to grow up and be a man like his father and marry a woman, have children and take care of them. I think this happens when a boy is around his sisters for too long and doesn’t have any males to play with. When I was younger I had a friend who had 2 older sisters and he acted gay. Since this boy has two sisters he’s just emulating his environment because it’s all he’s around. I mean it’s obvious the wife wars the pants in the family because the father doesn’t have enough testosterone to tell his wife to back off and stop feminizing his son. This is what happens when men rejects God in order to lust after a woman’s beauty. She gets all of the control and the man is a punk.

my daughter was 5 running around the house with no shirt on and told me “Mama I’m a boy”, I nipped that in the bud real quick. She’s grown now with 4 children of her own. Lord help us!

I was reading another story about a little boy that like to play with girl toys and wear
pink ruffle skirts.
I think that little kids don’t know what they want or what they want to be at this age and older.
As a patent your suppose to guide your child in the right direction.
And as a parent you make the choice for them.
Transgender is confusion on who they are.
If he has sisters around his age of course he wants to play with them and there girl toys.
The Dad should take his son out and play ball and do guy things so that he can identify with male things.
There whole situation is out of order.

There is nothing right about a six year old boy using a female bathroom. Now he is female and been living transgender at four. Who do you know you want that at four? Crazy and definitely not right. They want to feel good instead of doing what is right in the sight of the Almighty God. I got TTBHH8 yesterday and seen the video. I have learned so much from that DVD and Thieves in the Temple. God is so awesome and is worthy of all the praise.

Really? The school system just like other places of business has alternative bathrooms for people like this. The parents are the ones wanting the attention. Looking to get money for themselves at the expense of exploiting a child that has not been given the correct parental guidance. SAD!!
