For centuries church folks have made music their platform for merchandising their version of the gospel and using their talent to affirm and validate them with the world. The industry is a system that is set-up to lift up man so that they are worshiped as superstars. This is the same scenario that displeased God in heaven and the end game that got Lucifer kicked out! Christian Hip hop/Holy hip hop Identity Crisis?!

Let’s just face it, Hip hop is dead. Rock and pop culture is returning (skinny jeans, mohawks, anti-christianity, rock music, satanic worship..etc) home for her child (hip hop). Case closed! There’s no one checking for this stuff but church kids and backsliding adults.

Pride of life confirmed: 2011 BET Hiphop Awards Lecrae represented the world well

The 2011 BET Awards will be a memorable event  but not just for the foolishness that goes on every year. Last night the so called ‘christian hip hop  savior’  Lecrae (30) appeared in a cypher with dozens of the most foul mouth-godless individuals to date. What is a cypher, its usual a circle or group of rappers who gather around taking turns boasting on themselves and battle rapping against each other.  For years EX Ministries has warned the Church about the influences of Hip hop sadly many last night celebrate Lecrae’s opportunity to shine on BET (Booty Entertainment Television). To hip hop be the glory?!

All throughout the social networks Christians declared the victory  as Lecrae carried the torch back into Egypt.  There has always been a desire for christian hip hoppers to make it to the big stage, this is the only way they stay relevant and validate what they do. However they  continue to use a carnal  method to replace the work of the Holy Spirit. Like getting on BET saying Jesus name a couple times equates to something. Unfortunately that’s not the gospel people. BET artist thank God all the time. Recently I read a Facebook post from a pastor  comparing Lecraes appearance on BET to Joshua and Daniel?!  WHAT!

Well, I’m sorry, God was not glorified and the only thing that was on display was the Pride of Life.  From the pulpit, gospel music to CCM and hip hop; do we not see a pattern here? A large majority of these guys have duped you, they’ve always coveted fame, notoriety  and the approval from the world.  So while we’re flooding Twitter and Facebook paying our respects to a hip hopper  we should be praying for this brothers soul.
